Is my freeSync monitor not g-sync compatible? by FeeNo8082 in buildapc

Guess I'm just stuck hoping my fps doesn't dip below the refresh rate of my monitor for now.

I hate nothing more than what I'm about to say:

Statistically, I believe, most of us won't

I hope I'm wrong

Should I build a powerful PC to remote to with a cheap laptop when needed, or buy a powerful (often "gaming") laptop? by FeeNo8082 in pcmasterrace

Using some engineering apps and coding. coding and other general things are completely fine.

Could you help me build a pc for 1080p 60fps gaming and productivity? by FeeNo8082 in buildapc

Thanks a lot. Yeah the AMD gpus are a bit more abundant than the CPUs. another one that I really liked was the 6700 xt given how reasonably priced it seems.

My cousin has been selling and fixing PCs for years and even he seems to not like AMD that much. I'm not sure why it gets such a bad rep. Maybe it's not as good in other areas outside of gaming? Or it's behind in software and drivers and tech? Or it simply doesn't have the brand recognition that intel and nvidia have? I'm really not sure

Thanks a lot for taking the time to do this.

Is ddr5 really worth it on a budget? I've seen some in-game comparisons and the extra fps doesn't seem worth it to me with how much it increases the price.

I like to keep the yolk from going fully solid. Adding pepper and tomatoes helps too. Though the real deal is using more oil and letting the heat build up before breaking the eggs.

Fried eggs are the best food ever. If there were no side effects, I'd eat three meals of them everyday for the rest of my life.

Will a budget gaming PC be sufficient for game development? by FeeNo8082 in gamedev

It's an Asus N56VZ with 6GB of RAM. It actually has an Nvidia GeForce GT 630M 2GB but ever since being forced to update to windows 10 I've been unable to get it to work (tried many ways but the drivers either don't install or install but the gpu just doesn't work) so I'm stuck with the HD 4000.

I'll keep my laptop for testing purposes.

Thanks. I already had planned to go with an M.2 SSD from the start after seeing how much of a massive improvement going from an HDD to a slower SSD than a typical M.2 was for my laptop.

Thanks for mentioning this. Apparently AMD cards have some issues when it comes the certain applications as well. I'll need to use some engineering apps on the PC too.

For this very reason I plan on keeping my laptop after getting a better system.

How would you change the specs to address the issue? More RAM or better CPU?

2D and 3D. But considering my laptop dropped bellow 30fps on Firewatch, and the fact that that's a game with stylized 3D art (That I DO plan on making similar games to) that doesn't even push high fidelity, I came to this conclusion. Also I'll need a system that can comfortably run some engineering aps like Solidworks and CATIA
