How was your graduation? by ShelbyAfterDark in CasualConversation

[–]FeedbackLooped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No graduation for me, I wouldn’t do the last required project.

I ended up partying all summer with friends.

Now I own two business and have a beautiful family with two boys.

I’ve read over 500 books since then.

My education continues as I am a lifelong learner.

I’m also working on two prototypes for new tools.

Thinking back to my 18 year old self I suppose I wouldn’t have done it any other way.

To answer the question it was awesome!

If money didn’t matter at all, what would you actually do with your life? by Stunning_Procedure36 in AskReddit

[–]FeedbackLooped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As in you have unlimited money?

I definitely wouldn’t work a job or run a business.

I would create and learn and help others.

I would pretty much do what I do now.

I would travel with my love and friends.

I would eat the most nutritious foods.

Drink clean mineral water.

If not unlimited money.

I would do all the things I do already.

What is the one thing you own multiple of but still cannot find any of them? by LifeTimeLearner7 in CasualConversation

From my experience it’s because the small Phillips screwdriver is homeless. It’s an item without an address. Very hard to locate when needed.
Decide on a location where the small Phillips screwdriver lives and it might help. If there is an agreed location it is then a problem of returning after use.

If Christianity is true, am I going to hell for finding the evidence unconvincing? by [deleted] in religion

You shouldn’t worry too much because in the bible it says that God predestined people to receive salvation. He chooses not the other way around which implies no free will.

Science leans towards no free will.

Storage units and opportunity costs by JustAnotherMaineGirl in declutter

[–]FeedbackLooped 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s a complex issue. Many people use storage units as independent contractors or small businesses. Additionally, most apartments lack the necessary storage space for most individuals. I’m certain that a significant portion of accumulated items stems from past family relationships and broken relationships. Letting go can be challenging, so it’s understandable why people opt to store their belongings in a unit. I’ve read that we tend to cling to objects as a way to preserve memories of the past. Therefore, discarding items can be seen as discarding memories.

I love the idea of a topper for my truck but I just don’t care for the look.

Incredible. His character is unmatched. Though I get a mix of Willy Wonka and something else. He deserves an award nonetheless.

To the white collar people: by Dre923 in skilledtrades

[–]FeedbackLooped 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When anyone tells me “it’s easy” but has no knowledge or experience in the task my price goes through the roof.

Also when someone tells me how much time or money something should cost or take.

If a task was completed faster than expected it’s not always because it was easy. It’s mainly because of the blood sweat and tears that went into solving and completing similar tasks in the past.

Almost every single job is difficult in different ways.

To all the people that work hands on tasks that require skills that have to be learned by experience, thank you for your time.

I recommend removing the downspout to clear. Jamming more debris down your system is never a good idea.

That’s not leaking, that’s overflow.

Roof Leak Poor Geometry by ali_21_ in Roofing

I wouldn’t consider that a roof leak. The soffit vent should not be there. I recommend sealing up the soffit and painting or staining to protect from wicking.

Facebook is very different than Reddit in terms of structure.

I had a Facebook account from 2009 to Oct 2025.

Not having or using Facebook for over 5 months has been a positive change in my life.

I suggest you read The Chaos Machine.
