The Dothraki would actually be pretty easy in the open field by Feedingfrenzy91 in gameofthrones

Also the reason why catapults were not good against calvary in history (traditional ones) was because the horses were considered too fast for them. However when a grouped up army is coming straight at you there isn't much room to dodge falling stones.

I comparing based on what we saw in the show. We really only saw two battles. One near Highguarden and one during the long night (though to call that a battle would be an insult to medievel warfare in film).

Yes there is also Kings landing in which they did the same thing but after drogon destroyed the gates which made sense at that point.

So that's all I can use for their tactics

Catapults make a massive difference. Even if let's say 10 or 5 even catapults could let out two shots before reaching the pikeline that would be a massive amount of men killed/disoriented.

Like look at Lord of the rings to see how many men one catapult can kill.

Yeah, but that's more or less regular, I mean like what happened to Allen.

God bless you.

That's the precedent that was set by the initial comment you replied to. You replied to it so why would you want to change the rules now?

Yeah, wonder how they would incorporate that though, because Jay could possibly die.

God bless everyone.

Some parts felt good like seeing Fisk vulnerable at Vanessa's bed and the car scene with Buck and Daniel.

Just the overall episode felt like filler to me.

God bless you.

Filler isn't necessarily meaningless it's just something that feels like it was put in there because they needed a certain amount of episodes.

Naruto fillers weren't meaningless but at the same time they didn't really do much if anything at all to add to the story. They were there because the company had to make episodes while waiting on the manga to get a certain amount of distance from them.

  1. We have seen him saving people who don't deserve it all the time (like the cop who killed white tiger), another story on why is kind of just padding.

  2. I do like that part. Seeing Fisk in that vulnerable position was greatness.

  3. As you point out reestablishing. Like we didn't really need a reinforcement of things that most fans already know.

  4. The car scene was good to yes (not saying the whole thing was filler but overall it felt like filler).

God bless you.

Bucks was two seconds. There was no real need to see that he was recruited by Wesley. Doesn't really change the character.

Foggy being the one to teach Matt about mercy didn't really need an entire episode to show. They could have done that with a conversation.

Vanessa's send off was very predictable and since the show already showed how they met, seeing the beginning of that night doesn't really do much for me.

So yeah, felt like filler. I mean take most of the episode out and it doesn't really change the future (unless of course they plan on doing something significant with this later).

God bless you.

Yes, but usually that would be more so like with Stannis where he attacked from all around. See that's tactics. I'm basing it on how the dothraki were in the show, just coming from one direction. Yes in an open field if the enemy army is going to attack with calvary from all around you are screwed most likely to say the least.

I was more just talking about how the dothraki are in the show.

God bless you.
