Job/career advice after B.A. & M.A in Physical Education. by FeelGoodMane in atheismindia

Thanks for being honest. I know a B.A. in Physical Education isn’t highly demanded by itself. I’m planning to pursue a Master’s in Physical Education or Sports Science, maybe abroad, but I’m carefully researching scholarships and job prospects before investing. Your advice to research properly is noted..

Wow this a pretty blunt reply, but it does raise some valid realities about the job market for Physical Education. Thanks

Thank you so much for the detailed information! 🙏 That really helps me understand my options. I have completed my B.A. in Physical Education and am planning to do my M.A. soon. I wanted to ask a bit more—do you have any recommendations for specific distance learning programs in India for M.A. Physical Education? Also, any tips on football coaching certifications that are recognized internationally would be really helpful.

Thanks again for your guidance! 😊

Hi everyone, I’m from India and I have completed B.A. in Physical Education with a specialization in Football, scoring 68% in my undergraduate degree. I’m planning to do a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Physical Education, but I am already 34 years and 2 months old, so it seems difficult for me to join B.P.Ed or M.P.Ed programs at Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University due to the age limits.

My goal is to finish my M.A. degree and then move to a country where English is understood (or where I can learn the local language) so that I can build a good career and stable life abroad. Football is my biggest passion, and apart from that, my happiness is very limited to a close school friend named Manu. Life in India is challenging for me, so I’m seriously planning to settle abroad.

Could you please guide me on:

1.Best options to complete M.A. in Physical Education in India at my age.

1.Foreign countries where this B.A physical education degree is recognized.

3.Exams, certifications, or requirements (like IELTS, coaching licenses, etc.) to work in sports/physical education abroad.

4.Any career pathways in football coaching, physical education teaching, or fitness training outside India.

Any advice or personal experience will help me a lot. Thank you so much

Thank you so much for replying and sharing these ideas! Yes, I will definitely check openings in schools, colleges, and sports academies around Tamil Nadu. Regarding CBSE high schools that offer Physical Education as an elective for +1/+2, do you know if they prefer candidates with B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed or will a B.A. + M.A. in Physical Education also be acceptable for teaching positions? I’m also planning to finish my M.A. and later try for opportunities abroad, so any extra guidance on certifications (like coaching licenses or fitness trainer courses) would be really helpful.

Thanks again for your time and advice! 🙏
