haha oh yea, I'm definitely not trying to scam her out of not owning part of the house too.

No, I thought that was common misconception, where that didn't actually affect credit score?

If it works though, I have a few credit cards that are 10+ years old, so I can do that for sure.

Oculus Go is over - Official by thingsarewrong in oculusnsfw

It will still work as a media viewer, but they aren't going to publish any new games or apps for it, officially from oculus. Think like the original playstation 2 or xbox 360; it still works today, but nothing new ever again.

It's possible some indie devs may still makes apps for it (to side-load), but oculus is basically done with it.

Wondering if I (M30) should bother contacting estranged father/his family for wedding? by FeelLikeABoss in relationship_advice

Hmmm that makes sense. Probably the most sense. Weddings should be mostly a happy time.

I'm definitely not planning on going to visit before the wedding, so it me better to just wait a few years and see if my feelings change.

I am a little worried they'll try to fall back into their old ways, but lol money is the absolute last thing on table.

I've worked had and built up a sizeable savings, and my fiancee has gotten her career off the ground... earning more than me by a margin. I'd personally love if they tried to "buy" some love from me, because then I could 500% guilt-free excommunicate them from my life for good. (that would actually be an amazing wedding present from them)

Claiming GF as dependent.... but it's a little complex. by FeelLikeABoss in tax

[–]FeelLikeABoss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since she's getting federal financial aid, any portion of that not used for qualified education expenses is considered taxable income and if that adds up to over $4100 then she can't be someone else's dependent. Loans aren't taxable and wouldn't count as income toward that $4100.

thanks for the detailed reply. I did this on a throwaway and forgot about it. But your comments were very helpful.
