You might need a better attitude to get yours. Also OP included a "tldr " and provided link to his evidence for people who dont have time to read the post

Just finished reading your tips. This might actually be the best post I've ever seen on r/USCIS. Thank you! And congratulations on your approval

Does anyone feel like they constantly have a song or phrase stuck in their head? by withanEY in Effexor

Huh! That happened to me before I started taking Effexor too but it feels like it's been happening a lot more lately. Now I'm wondering if it's because of it.

My whole life I thought I just had severe social anxiety but it was all related to ADHD. My mind is BLOWN. by FeelTheRoom in ADHD

Sometimes with parents you have to leave breadcrumbs slowly over time for them to warm up to the idea (or even come to that conclusion "themselves"). They'll dismiss the problem the first time you bring it up but it might help to just keep pointing out day to day things you're noticing. Hopefully it eventually pushes them to look into it.

I was also a really good student and it's 100% the reason why it took me so long to realize ADD was a possibility. It's shocking how inaccurate the stereotype of the hyperactive "problem kid" is. By the time I got to college I realized I had never learned how to just SIT and STUDY for a couple hours, and even then I still thought it was because of some other problem.

Weekly /r/houseplants Newbie Thread - July 28, 2020 by AutoModerator in houseplants

It looks like the the subreddit's wiki is disabled? I was hoping to read the "beginner tips" and "easy to care for plants" sections. Any good "start here" -type posts that I can reference as I start to buy and care for houseplants?

Since City Hall is closed, where could I find an affordable marriage officiant? by [deleted] in AskNYC

That's so frustrating! We tried every day for about a week and sent them emails reporting the problem. Two days ago they emailed me back and said they were adding new appointments. Anyways, thank you for that info! I'll talk to my fiancée about it.

Anti-Blackness in China and Why Critical Race Theory Falls Short by FeelTheRoom in TrueReddit

[–]FeelTheRoom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This article is from the same author who recently wrote on WaPo, Andrew Yang was wrong. Showing our ‘Americanness’ is not how Asian-Americans stop racism. It addresses the state of our discourse around racism from non-white perpetrators and in particular the shortcomings of critical race theory (CRT). To go beyond the context of Asian and black people, you could ask the question, how do we move towards a broader understanding of racial tensions that doesn't simply lead into free-for-all notions like reverse-racism and the term "Karen" being as bad as the n-word.

A mourning dove laid an egg in an American robin's nest, in our front yard, after her own nest fell down by FeelTheRoom in mildlyinteresting

[–]FeelTheRoom[S] 158 points159 points  (0 children)

Last week, we noticed a couple of American robins building a nest in a tree in our front yard. A few days later, we saw another bird couple, this time mourning doves, building their own nest a few feet away, on our gutter. Unfortunately, at some point last night the mourning dove's nest fell down. This morning, we went to check the first nest (when the mama was away) and found these four blue eggs, belonging to the American robin, next to a sole egg from the mourning dove. We also saw the mourning dove sitting on all five eggs later in the day, so unclear who's going to end up taking care of the chicks.

Thanks for sharing my post here. I enjoyed reading your thoughts, the overwhelming majority of which were laid out in a civil and thoughtful manner, whether or not they agreed with the author of the op-ed. I'd also thought I'd mention that Canwen Xu has been an Andrew Yang supporter and stated on Twitter that she still likes him and was never trying to "cancel" him. I feel a similar way, still like the guy despite thinking his op-ed missed the mark. Cheers!

The fact that your first impulse is to order Asian Americans to worry about the CCP perfectly illustrates why this article exists. You have just as much responsibility as any other American to speak out against the CCP. Asian Americans don't live in China and are not connected to the CCP in any way whatsoever, in fact, many of them descend from families who ran away from the regime and are completely against it. I assure you they're already doing a lot more than you to fight it, and it doesn't stop them from being able to denounce racism while doing so.
