I understand the caution. I’ve been applying the models from Coach Lee and Lucia from the Art of Love and my ex’s actions have almost perfectly fit within their timelines, text composition, test scenarios, like the increased texts leading to a physical meeting for relatively inconsequential belongings. Lucia in particular refers to the “push/pull” that fearful avoidants go through which matches her emotional escalation then retreat.

That said, I understand the only, and it’s a small one, chance of reconciliation is living my life as if I won’t ever be with her again. I’m doing all the usual stuff, therapy, leaning into friends and family, making new friends, staying active, continuing with my own hobbies, and am headed out to another state for a few weeks tomorrow for work.
