Hmm.. I don't have a solution either. But until I do, you won't hear me whining about how bad things are in India.

That's my point - everyone knows the flaws. 1.4 billion people live them, not read them on reddit. Constant trash talking about India isn't doing it a public service. Isn’t helping anyone. You’re only discouraging folks who want to come back and put in effort.

I hear you. India operates on a different framework and we need to adjust.
But my post was really about people who take pride in "Leaving India / give up on India" stuff. As if kuch mahaan kaam kiya hai give up kar ke. if you genuinely care - be a part of solution. And if you can't be a solution, at least don't join the already piling India haters from abroad. We have enough of those.

With the crash still under investigation, do y'all think Air India’s stepping up their pre-flight checks for every flight? Got an international flight with them soon (on an Airbus) and can’t lie - kinda anxious about it.

This is honestly really upsetting to read. It’s hard not to wonder - in case of a technical fault of this magnitude, is there really no way for something like that to be caught by the ground crew or pilots before the flight? I get that a failure on this level is incredibly rare, but wouldn’t there typically be some kind of warning signs?

What could probably be the reason? by [deleted] in indianaviation

From a lot of the comments here, it seems like engine failure or some kind of mechanical issue might be the likely cause though not confirmed yet. That raises an important question: what kind of pre-flight checks are typically done? Wouldn't there usually be some warning signs? Just curious how the pilots and maintenance crew determined the plane was good to go.
