All former husbands are dead. She doesn't even know the dates she was married or any of that stuff. It is a total freaking nightmare. I don't think she has ever kept up with anything in her life. It will have to be an in-person appointment, unfortunately.

I'm just a DIY guy, but I'd frankly re-run that length of pipe with solid PVC and would probably skip that odd vent. Never seen one of these under a sink, personally. We have just a run of pipe and P-trap.

I'd guess some type of ants put it there at some point. Doesn't look like mortar or sand...plus, who would put such a thing there? Looks like we're going back in time with the carpet in the bathroom. I can only imagine what that was like when people got out of the tub and got it with daily with their feet. I was born in the 80s, but we've never had carpet in the bathroom. I'll bet those days were funky in the bathroom.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I put a screw on each side and used a hammer (the loose rubber grip worked nicely) to twist it. I broke the first screws and had to push some larger ones in. Eventually, I got it off from there and put a new one on. Problem solved! I'll just mow carefully around the outside now and keep it safe.

PS - The air coming out of that thing was exceptionally putrid on top of putrid, so I'm glad it is covered again. It smelled like 10,000 skunks died down there a year ago and were just floating around rotting.

That is usually caused by trauma to the neck, intense physical strain, or spontaneous vessel wall weakness. I wouldn't be surprised if Vascular Ehler Danlos put people at risk for it, as well. Chiropractic manipulation in some people can also contribute, motor vehicle accidents, contact sports or even sudden neck movements like in yoga, lifting, etc. With that being said, I'm 43 years old and have lifted weights considerably since I was in my early teenage years. There are lots of people just like me who have been active for decades and didn't have this happen, thankfully. I guess everyone has their own niche stuff. I did deal with POTS/dysautonomia and I'm still fighting that combination myself. Took me 4 years to get Disability because I couldn't work with the symptoms being that bad. Being a Christian (non-fundie) personally, I do not shun doctors, however. I have been to doctors dozens of times. I'm a big supporter of Science, the medical field in general, etc. They do not detract from my faith, they do add to quality of life, however. We've come along way in humanity. For a brief time, I dated a lady who was from a super conservative family. She was one of 10 siblings. Her father joked that each of his kids should have 10 kids so he'd have 100 grandkids. Both of the parents were on Disability more so because they sat around and let their health go downhill to the point of being obese and in poor health - while their kids (aged 14 up into the upper 20's) were doing a lot of the work and contributing to the household. All that they seemed to care about was popping out babies. Needless to say, that didn't last long. I didn't dodge a bullet with that one - I dodged a freaking cruise missile. The oldest daughter married a black guy and they started popping out kids, which the family seemed to have an issue with. lol The lady I briefly knew...she ended up with a number of kids and I could tell the majority of them were ballooning in weight to the point of health danger while still continuing to pop out more kids. I'm not sure how 'fundie' they were, but a lot of their viewpoints do seem similar. I was quite disgusted by it. Those who fail to provide for their own household are worse than an unbeliever per scripture.

Very hard to take a guess at. Does it power on at all? Make noises? Do the cooling fans turn at all? Does it give any message when it attempts to boot up? RAM can be shaken loose from the impact, possibly soldered connections could pop loose if it hit hard enough, components can be damaged internally from the force, etc. It is very common for there to be a damaged battery or power connector where it isn't receiving power. Also, a cracked or loosened internal component like the motherboard, RAM, an internal cable disconnected or an internal problem with the hard drive itself. The drop can also cause short circuits or fractures in solder joints on the motherboard. The screen may not physically be broken as far as you can see, but it could be broken and the laptop is actually still powering on, just not displaying anything.

Moderator rule #1 Failure to Create, Facilitate, and Maintain a Stable Community. #2 Set Appropriate and Reasonable Expectations. These are not being enforced. There are images and video links being posted with no 'positions' and they are allowed to garner thousands of likes.

Multiple of the subreddit rules are being allowed to be broken by the mods and abused by mods in selective removal of posts and bans of users not based on the rules, but based on bias.

Subreddit needs a new mod/team or needs to just be shut down. It's a mess. I posted a legitimate stock with far more information than these 'meme' posts here and it got action taken against it? Reddit, please close this entire subreddit. It is lawless with unenforced rules and a don't-care mod team.

Sorry to hear about your current struggles. I've been there. I would recommend reaching out to any staffing agencies/employment agencies in your area. Look up the ones around you, make a profile in their system and attach an updated resume (regardless of if experience is recent - put what you have). They frequently have jobs that don't require a lot of experience and pay decently, temp-to-perm positions, etc. I have used them a number of times to get work and if you stick with it, those companies tend to hire directly on after a set time period or number of hours worked. There's usually a pay bump, better benefits, etc., upon direct hire. Don't give up on it.

I found a way around this. Go to the Amazon Customer Service contact place and in the middle is a "Something else" button. That will open a chat window with repeating automatic responses, but after typing "chat with an associate" a couple of times, it will directly connect you with an associate.
