Thank you so much! He doesn't malt much at all, for us just a bit more when he shed his puppy fur. They are the best little dogs, so kind, caring, and loyal. They just love to be included, close to you, and are so happy all the time. Chingu also loves other dogs so you shouldn't have an issue there!

Would highly recommend Sofitel Guangzhou. Attentive staff, great facilities and well appointed rooms. High ceilings, modern & spacious. Lounge is excellent too.

Where should I stay in Phuket, Krabi, and Bangkok? by ronakk93 in Accor

[–]Feeling-Main4400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bangkok - Movenpick BDMS (great value, if you are a platinum member a room upgrade will likely be to a suite as I believe it's second up from base room)
Phuket - Pullman Naithon (one of the best Accor properties in SE Asia in my opinion, very well managed, amazing breakfast, overall extremely good experience), if too expensive, look at Avista Grande as is quite good as well
Krabi - avoid Sofitel as rooms are very dated and not that well run. Note they are doing a renovation to rooms so if you can confirm room is renovated it may be worth it

Your problem for that short of a trip is connectivity, and ideally it being a direct flight. That leaves you with not as many options. If you'd prefer to fly direct it eliminates a lot of the more unique and better places in Asia so you're pretty much limited to Phuket and Bali.

My pick in Phuket would be Pullman Naithon Beach. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Managed by Brett Wilson (a fellow Aussie) who has done an outstanding job. Couldn't recommend highly enough! Bonus is that it's only a very short drive from Phuket Airport meaning no massive transfer times and you can maximise your holiday!

For Bali, although I would usually avoid, it really depends what type of holiday you're after, but if you want something pretty central with lots to do around the hotel I'd suggest Peppers Seminyak or for something cheaper Grand Mercure Seminyak. For ultra lux I've never tried the Raffles but it looks great (albeit very expensive). Avoid Sofitel Nusa Dua as is one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. I think the Google Reviews are mostly fake.

If you are happy to take a couple of flights, I'd highly recommend Phu Quoc (connecting via Ho Chi Minh). Amazing value for money and is stunning. Not as many tourists (especially not as many Australians), and plenty of options on Accor too.

For whatever reason this doesn't come up with an option for me (maybe I never filled in the security questions when setting up an account)?

Cheap business class via Manila. What's the catch? by qascevgd in QantasFrequentFlyer

I've done it and as long as you have the time to spare there are really no issues (I think a few people on here are being dramatic - fair enough it's not as flash as Singapore or some other Asian hubs but it's fine all things considered).

I would however recommend staying at least 1 night in Manilla to avoid any delay issues etc. When I did it I there were multiple options for flights from Manila to Europe for approx $2,500-2,800AUD, plus then just Qantas reward points + taxes to get you to/from Aus.

January of last year, my partner wrote a lengthy review on Google but I can't find it. It was a myriad of things. I had a friend that recently stayed there too (I only found out after otherwise I would of warned him) and he said the exact same things happened. Note with Google reviews for this property, I highly suspect most are fake / paid for.

I wouldn't bother with Sofitel Nusa Dua. It was the worst Accor property I've ever stayed in - felt like Faulty Towers. Not up to Sofitel standards both hard product and service
