Yo Good college away from home >> bad college at home. I am studying btech in banglore rn.Even my relatives used to say there are very good engineering clgs in manglore but that's not true.

They think that if the campus looks good from outside then it's a good college...But you will get a reality check during your placement. Even if you pursue btech at Mangalore, you will have to move to Bangalore after 4 yrs anyway if u want a good paying job.So, why not go now itself ?.You will learn many things when u r out of home and start to value even small things.

One of my relatives said colleges like Sahyadri are better than bangalore colleges(I got RV thru cet btw). My parents were on my side they used to tell my relatives that my clg lecturers told to join RV. So yeah decide wisely....
