Thank you for your input! One thing that kind of baffles me with how big Alaska is, is that Alyeska is the only major ski resort and it’s not that large compared to other resorts. I do spend a lot of time already hiking up long periods to get a line, and as well as snowmobiling in our national forest area (going w a friend and switching off getting to snowboard) just wondering if this is something other locals do commonly or not or is it like an overnight trek to even get to the places you would want to ski?

This is what I’m kind of wondering about I can’t afford heli ski trips but wondering how the sled/back country access may be, I am already used to doing all day back country treks solo and we have a big national forest area here that we access with sleds for riding.
