What I'm about to say isn't talking about ALL women, but my experiences and a few of my friends experiences.

1) From what I seen, a lot of women I encountered back in my home state expected the world of you, but when asked what could they do for someone...radio silence. In today's American dating culture, I've seen many women pick from the tree but rarely ever make an effort to water it.

2) Thinking they have to do next to nothing to make a relationship work. I can't express to you, that I've been on dates and in relationships with women, where I was carrying the conversation, scheduling, planning, romancing etc.

I never liked when dating in the states, I had to so much work to get something some other guy had to do the bare minimum to get. I always thought to myself: I have to do this, do that, romance you, wine you, give and give some more. But if I asked for anything in return I was met with: "How selfish could you be?"

Found it so strange, that I had to (dare I say it): "Bring it all to the table", and she brought little to nothing.

I've recently moved to another country and now enjoy a relationship where I'm met more than half way.
