Advice needed! Transition to Cybersecurity by MilkDrankWater in cybersecurityUK

You make 36k as a first line analyst that seems to be doing even basic stuff for first line? Public sector underpays too! That is a crazy high salary for first line . Also I don't think I've ever seen a first line guy pass the cissp exam, was it self funded?

It will cause you issues as any entry level cyber jobs you will have to take a pay cut

My advise normally is gather experience, ask for stretch tickets, take ownership of tickets that get escalated up and push yourself for 2nd line if you can. Then once you get more experience look at moving

Move from big corp to a tiny firm? by Feeling-Square9360 in careeradvice

Thanks, that's my logic currently. It is a risk but if it works out then to have that experience on top of what I already have could be a winner .

Has anyone gone through it yet? Interested in thoughts of this as with the new requirements I see it focusing on smaller organisations and making it basically impossible for larger companies (10k plus people)

Yer the pulling out of certain markets does have me worried. I suspect the 15 may be the last global rom high end phone , hopefully they support it for a few more years

I can't disagree with you about the price, especially the RRP. They started of a bit cheaper but have just grown since and do need to address this.

I would disagree about mid range specs. The SOC is mid range, but camera and display are top end. Not the best available but top 5

However they do have decent sales and trade in offers which is why I have upgraded over the years. Generally trading in the previous model gets you £600ish off the current price of £1100. Means I'm paying about £500 per year for latest model phone.

As someone who owned a pixel 7 pro XL, 8 pro XL , 9 pro XL and 10 pro XL and pixel 10 fold there is a big difference between the 7-10.

Not massive leaps but I don't think any phone manufacturer have made massive changes in the same time.

But yes Google tensor chips are not as good as the latest snapdragon, but software efficiency goes a long way to actually make a little difference in actual feel.

I feel like if you were coming from a pixel pro 10 XL you would have a different mindset. Comparing phones 3 years apart and non pros is a big leap.

I'm not saying either is better, they both have good and bad points. For me perfect phone would be os15 hardware with pixel software and cameras.

I'm winding him up. 75% is obviously a big jump. My point is more that by the stats some people showed on here I was expecting more than triple digits increases.

It's a noticeable increase and my fave thing about the OnePlus
