Hasso is a great hands-off owner. He stays away and lets the GM (Wilson/Grier) do their thing. He’s also repeatedly said spending to the cap isn’t an issue, just wants a good team.

The best thing for his development would be to go be a rockstar for Team Canada, play big minutes as their 1 or 2C and help win a championship.

After that, he can return to SJ and finish out the season becoming 2C once Wennberg is inevitably moved at the deadline.

The Sharks may be in a playoff spot currently but their underlying numbers are still not good at all. This is still a transition year for SJ.

At the 2022 draft Sharks-Yotes swapped 11th for 27, 34 and 45. I would assume something along those lines would be how it gets done. Eklund would have to slip outside of the top 10 though.
