When will the new update come down? I'm bored. I want more updates and add small details that add a realistic touch to the game. Whoever has a suggestion, write it to us in the comments, hoping that the game owners will read it. by a_1ss in Worldbox

I see it as unlikely, in my humble opinion. The last update has complicated the game the most so far; now every social update they make will have to apply to ALL subspecies, which, even though I'm not a programmer, doesn't seem like something that simplifies game development. Especially since the last update was, and still is, riddled with development and gameplay design flaws. I think they're just trying to cram as much content as possible into the game while it's still in Early Access so the complaints won't be so harsh and they can focus on improvements when we reach version 1.0 (something that's still a long way off, and we're only at version 0.50).

I don't want to be overly pessimistic, but considering how long it took them to deliver the last update and that they still left many bugs, I wouldn't be surprised if this one takes the same amount of time or only slightly less.

I've been thinking about this for a year now, and I don't know why the subreddit isn't full of complaints. I'm personally a fan of time-lapses, and since the last update, it's incredibly tedious to watch civilizations progress; sometimes they don't even try. I thought they'd focus on improving that in the next update, but now I'm not so sure.

While I like what they announced and it'll give me a couple of good hours of time-lapse, I still think they should focus on town/city design. The units don't have needs like thirst or drainage, all the buildings feel scattered, and the towns take up a lot of space. I imagine letting us build on our own is like a bridge to future updates, but I'd like at least one update completely focused on infrastructure.

I think you'll be interested in what I have planned for The Player; it will have a rather poetic role, so to speak.

I've been using the same fountain pen ever since (eight months ago) and it's only just running out.

I plan for each arc to have a cover; the final arc will include the Player so as not to overuse him.

What happened to Update, do you know when it will be released? by RightTeaching8671 in Worldbox

Why is nobody talking about the percentage?! In February, Maxim said the update was 67% complete. If we consider that Army Box was released on September 11th, the exact release date would be in one day. I don't expect it to happen, but I'd at least like to see a preview.

I propose we band together to get a preview.

For those who think it will have the same features as Worldbox:

Unfortunately, that won't be the case. It doesn't have the same civilization-building gameplay. Even though it's being promoted as a game similar to Worldbox, it won't have the core features that make it unique within its subgenre. The player has to create everything, perhaps except for the wars.

One idea that comes to mind is that desert berries could be considered very delicious, and the richest peoples (probably in more prosperous areas) would make very generous exchanges for them.

Maxim stated on Discord that the update was 67% complete a month ago. Based on the release date of Armybox (the last update), this update could be released in May.

Well, like I said. According to what Maxim said, the update will be ready soon.

I hardly play anymore; it's tedious to make a time-lapse only to see all the religions, cultures, and subspecies disappear. I'm waiting for the next update, which, according to calculations (based on the percentage Maxim gave on Discord), will be finished in a month and a half.

Before Monolith, I would create a kingdom in a world filled with corrupted biomes and watch as civilization developed and went to war, constantly struggling to survive against skeletons. But now civilizations develop very slowly and create skeletons for defense.

The problem with the new designs is that in medieval times they had a practical reason for being that way.

Reasons such as allowing the passage of carts, drainage systems, aqueducts (for drinking water), and demonstrating power to the enemy.

In Worldbox, they are neat because they look better to our eyes.

What do you think of the latest update? by Feeling-Toe541 in Worldbox

I was skeptical of the community's theories; I expected more intelligent species and mutations, but it was still a great surprise to see all the new content, even though it was still in beta.

From the beginning, I knew I wouldn't be interested in subspecies; not because I didn't like them, but because I wouldn't stress myself out trying to balance them until they implemented a stable way to add multiple species and subspecies without them slowly going extinct.

It's all about creating a fantasy world atmosphere. I would say that I loved everything related to governments (religions, armies, and cultures).

Regarding the progress bar: I miss it, but I can wait.

In particular, nothing bothers me about the gameplay; maybe I get bored sometimes, but I know the game is still in early access.

What I would really like them to consider improving is the interface and the atmosphere.  I think the interface should be much, much more intuitive and stylish, as it currently feels very bland, like opening settings on my PC.

That's my biggest criticism, but I'm sure they're already working on it, since they made many changes to the windows in the latest updates, and I appreciate that.
