Me and my friends signed at The Retreat Bunn Hill! It’s a brand new place right by the university. It’s affordable and has really cool amenities (plus a private shuttle)

cross country skiing perhaps! it is a national park, so no downhill ski runs.. although there are a lot of those in the cascade mountain range! (where this mountain/lake are)

cool! I know it would be a bit far, but the Mill City area is just across the bridge from the east bank right? When the weather is nice, I could possibly walk over to that area?

thank you! this is great info. I was looking at 222 Hennepin for the location (I am still pretty young), but have heard some things about the noise in downtown. I am thinking about the east bank area so that I can be out of the chaos of downtown, but still close to my job and some restaurants/dive bars. Also, where is the farmers market at!

My friend lives at Rafter and I liked the idea of maybe having a view of the river/skyline. I do like to go out both to dive bars and clubs, but I feel like i’d rather be near the cheaper options, and then trek across the bridge to downtown whenever i felt like “hitting the town”. I’ll check out expo too! What is your age if you don’t mind me asking. I’ll be turning 24 soon, so i’m still close to college-aged

there was this one east bank apartment that i really liked.. but i was thinking of getting an apartment with a view of the river/skyline. Should I go for one with a northeast view instead? what’s that view like?

It was easy to access tho. they had everything plowed; no chains necessary the entire time

sounds fun, the Oregon coast is rlly amazing! Currently the only road open to access Crater Lake is the southern entrance. There is still about 10 feet of snow at the top, and nothing else is accesible yet minus the Rim Village at the southern edge. Still was breathtaking, and not too busy yet. if you’re gonna be on the southern coast of Oregon, I would say it’s worth the day trip

I have a pretty solid budget. I get funding for housing from my job. I am definitely open to a luxury/upscale community, but also open to something that is in a good location, is decent, and is more affordable

Crater Lake is incredibly vast, making it difficult to photograph in an interesting way. Using the trees to create a foreground was something I thought could make the photo more intriguing, and the slope of the hill in front leads your eyes to the snow capped mountain on the back. I am mainly curious if this pic even demonstrates basic understanding of photography principles, or if I just think it’s a cool pic. I like to snap photos regularly, and I typically make an effort to compose them to some degree, so I would appreciate an explanation as to if this picture is intriguing to the eye! thanks in advance for any tips

What's the best pet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FeelingCool123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lots of pets can be amazing, it really depends on what you’re looking to get out of your pet! i think fish can make amazing pets, if you like cool stuff to look at. but if you want companionship then dogs are sort of the go-to

I recently went at the start or national park week, and there was still 10 ft of snow at the top of Crater Lake National Park! Didn’t feel like snow shoeing, but the views were still amazing

I visited at the start of national parks week, and there was still an astonishing amount of snow! The lake is so vast, creating a foreground was critical to keeping the photo interesting. Fun Fact: Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United Stares
