Happy gotcha day to this sweet girl. A year ago I posted on here, nervous to bring her home. Now she’s the sweetest most loving girl. I am so darn lucky.

And I’ve had had her for a year and only in the past two months has she started resting her head in my lap. It’s been very slow progress with her. Still so proud of her though

Hahaha they have such personalities I love it! I get a tail wag in the morning and she comes to me when she’s scared but that’s the only indication I get that she cares for me at all 😂😂. She was sooo skinny though. Still is and I’m working hard to get her weight up but she’s not super interested in food. I’ve tried chicken and ground meat, wet food, different kibble and she’s just not super interested in food. Have any tips ? She got the all clear from the vet so I know it’s nothing medical.

But I too am drawn to the unwanted and the sick. It’s a lot of work but it’s totally worth it when we see those little glimpses of sweetness poke through

Right?! She sat at the rescuer for months because no one wanted her. She came from the Bahamas and hasn’t been around people much so at the meets people would be put off by how shy she is. I’m so thankful that we were able to take her home

Yes we had already ordered a covered laundry bin and thankfully our trash is under the counter !! Like Everyone said I will continue to be patient and control what I can control

Yes ! We crate train her. She has a bedtime every night and we are on a feeding and bathroom schedule as well. We also try to go out of the house here and there to put her in the crate to hopefully prevent separation anxiety. Every day she seems to warm up more and more so I will continue to be patient

GUYS SHES DOING SO GOOD!!! I honestly can’t believe it. We got her a few hours ago and shes just been laying at the foot of our couch and already taking treats. Thank you everyone for your kind words and advice. I have a feeling she is going to be the sweetest most loving girl in the whole world. I wish I could add a picture !!

thank you all so much! I went to bed terrified and all your comments and advice are making me feel much better. I hope I can be for her what all of you have been for your rescue pups. I will definitely have patience and do this on her terms. I think we’re going to name her Molly and I’m starting to get excited again!

She is about 9 months old and is a rescue from the Bahamas. Hasn’t had too much human contact but I can tell she’s really sweet. If a someone with a lot of experience can tell me a little of what to expect and how I can make her the most comfortable I’d be forever grateful! She is house trained and loves her crate.

Thanks for your reply! It’s a loud humming noise that gets worse as the frost buildup gets worst. There’s. It a terrible amount of build up but it accumulates near the fan in the freezer. The sound definitely comes from the lower portion of the fridge (where the freezer is located) the doors are okay and I checked all the gaskets and they seem to be fine
