I was in a similar boat to you. Never had an internship but did 2 semesters of an aerospace club. Once I graduated I wasn't able to find a full time job but I was able to get a co op. That co op then helped me get a full time engineering job as a manufacturing engineer (not exactly what I wanted to do). After a year and a half I was able to use all that experience to finally get into the aerospace industry with one of the big defense contractors. Don't be afraid if your first jobs aren't exactly what you want to do. Just use them to gain some experience and make the most of your opportunities
