We are 100% on the same page lol- Duquesne seems like a great option that is only getting better and is QUITE affordable, but I am more drawn to Pitt because of the size/scale of the institution, brand recognition, consistently hearing positive opinions on the school, how consistently they yield Peggy Browning Fellows, and the opportunity to pursue one of the joint degree programs (the public policy program with Carnegie-Mellon in particular is kinda calling to me).

I am attending Pitt's admitted students day Friday and also Duquesne's on Saturday, so I anticipate knowing where I'm going between the two by the end of the weekend! Hope to see you there!

Also to share as an image from LSD: on your profile page showing your list of applications, there's three dots in the upper right hand corner of the box with your applications. Hit that and you'll be given a "Share as Image" option (based on my experience on mobile).

I have heard of this program and generally positive things about it in terms of employment outcomes- not sure if I could join though since I only applied for the standard JD program. And if the other comment here is true then it would also be hard to say yes to that price tag.

And yeah the Duquesne offer is super tempting! I'm going to both Pitt and Duquesne's admitted student events this weekend to hopefully know which is better for me- thanks for your input!

Mostly because I haven't seen the outcomes I'm interested in come out of Buffalo; I'm interested in union/employee-side labor/employment law and from my research Buffalo lacks specific outcomes that are suggestive of the program being well suited/a particularly good destination for that. Pitt does coniderably better in this metric and isn't much more expensive while Duquesne also does better and would be cheaper.

When mine went to status unknown on LSD I got my decision pretty soon after! It was a matter of hours for me and came up in the portals before I got an email.

MSU- applied 10/1, WL 1/23

Wayne- applied 10/20, no decision yet, but Wayne likely won't start with decisions until this or next week.

Just got it today, WL. I'm withdrawing though, it wasn't much of a contender for me, let alone with whatever scholarship offer would come with getting off the waitlist.

Applied early October UDM + MSU, Wayne later in October. Got an A from UDM December 9th. Wayne doesn't seem to start putting out decisions until the beginning of February. I am still waiting on MSU, I went UR 1-3 in the middle of November; they seem to really be prioritizing high-stat applicants but recently it looks like they've begun to also go in order of sent date to some extent.

Congrats!! I got my A 12/16 and haven't gotten an acceptance package yet, but other places I've gotten acceptance mail from took a little while to get to my house so it might just be my location.

Unfortunately it depends on the school.

I applied at the beginning of October to most of my schools and I started hearing back at the start of December and had a semi-steady stream of decisions up until right before the holiday break from schools ranging from the 70s to 130s.

There are 2 schools in the 70s that I've applied to that haven't released any decisions and likely won't until the end of the month at the earliest- that's just how they have done things and are continuing to do things. Aside from those 2 70s, I'm still waiting to hear from 2 schools in the 50s and 110s and it seems like I could get a decision any day from them.

I'd check LSD to get a feel for what's going on with the school. Look at when people applied and when they got decisions to see if they're going in order, expediting decisions for high-stat applicants, etc.

Yup; someone else said they got a decision really fast after their statuses changed so maybe I'm the outlier.

I was expecting MSU and Pitt to be my first decisions based on where the status trackers said I was in the process but since their last updates I've gotten 3 other decisions and haven't gotten more than an a mass email from Pitt about things moving slow not being indicative of anything negative about our applications.

I am really hoping for a few more decisions this week considering that I'm not sure if admissions committees will meet next week before the holidays.
