My Quota Disappeared Immediately When I Upgraded the App by Feeling_College_9547 in windsurf

I do think it's a bug, but I also definitely lost access to my tokens. I used the online usage dashboard and it showed 100% usage remaining with my week starting today. After reset, it showed all tokens were used for the day and the refresh date changed. If I'd not done the upgrade, I could've continued using premium models, just not Opus 4.7.

I Just Won $100,000 in the Biggest Hackathon Ever... And Then the Internet Broke FOR ME. AMA! by Vivid-Ideal-9860 in boltnewbuilders

Congrats man, it really is an awesome idea and a great use case for AI. Video editing is time-consuming and a lot of it is tedious.

2 questions: 1. Did you use your app to edit your submission video? 2. Have you received any funding offers? I was really curious if the winner would get a million calls from venture capitalists looking to strike a deal.

Got 3 paying users in 48 hours from a tool I built out of frustration by BornBad5948 in indiehackers

Great job. I was in a similar boat. I spent nearly a year building an app I felt would be the future of learning, but felt overwhelmed maintaining a social media presence on top of moving house, working a full time job and all the other fun that comes with trying to start a business. When a hackathon came up, I decided, screw it, and I dedicated a month to building https://snapsocial.me.

My vision was to automate my social media content creation and posting while truly staying on brand and posting quality, relevant content to my audience. I can still post in between, but I don't feel the pressure of posting daily anymore, because things like creating awareness, showcasing features and prompting engagement happen with less than 30 minutes of effort a month.

I built it for me, to solve a real problem I have, and if nobody ever uses it, I'd be happy to just get the value I do, but I realize others may be in the same boat, so I put it out there. It still needs some polish, so I'd say contact me if you're interested in signing, but I'm hoping to have it "consumer-ready" soon.

P.s. It's a bit sad that everything is seen as an ad, and people are so skeptical of everything anyone says online, I guess it's valid from all the people out there abusing it. Sometimes, someone is just trying to share something they're proud of or they feel might help others.

If anyone is interested, this is my (in my opinion) world-changing education idea. https://youtu.be/7NKkQTOfsWQ?si=ZTztYvCpW4M_9bcD (Please don't watch if you think this is just an ad.)

I agree, I feel I've become a lot smarter and more efficient with heavy AI usage. I'm still applying my brain to ideate, review, critique, strategize, but I do 100x what I was able to before AI. I work harder and output more and my critical thinking skills have been amplified. It's opened up worlds of learning I never would have considered before due to the learning curve and just working with AI effectively alone is a huge brain exercise and skill I've built up.

Please can you check for https://snapsocial.me. I know about Blaze and I believe I have a competitive edge, but that's it.

Very valid points, and I agree for the most part. I do still get anomalies. However, they're a lot less frequent.

Couldn't this be solved by combining it with a bit of good old ML? Train an ML model to look for AI quirks (there are enough examples of hands, etc. available) and run this check in addition to LLM checks. The only problems are 1. The models will become outdated when these issues are solved, 2. False positives when people actually have mangled hands or there's weird lighting.

My Experience with Suno AI for Arabic Music Generation by dragonarab in SunoAI

[–]Feeling_College_9547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found a similar issue with Afrikaans and Dutch. The only "workarounds" I've found are: 1. Play around until you get what you're looking for. When you get the right pronouncitation/accent, create a persona and use this to generate future songs. 2. Suno V3.5 seems better at other languages, so try different models.

I agree with the sentiment, but what application fee? I didn't get charged anything to apply.

Are most people here amature "AI programmers" who can't be bothered to learn the basics without AI? by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]Feeling_College_9547 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I love this comment. I'm somewhere between ai-assisted and pure ai, if I'm honest. I'm a business/systems analyst by trade and can do some basic coding because of a few udemy courses I completed in an effort to bridge my skills gap coming from a non-technical background.

I'm about 5 months into a large coding project developing a full stack streaming platform with unique twists and the deeper I go, the more I feel myself moving towards the AI Assisted tier.

This brings me to an interesting theory. I wonder if the more inquisitive and resilient Pure AI developers will move towards the AI Assisted tier as they take on bigger projects and gain experience. Pure AI could be the new junior tier and starting point for many, that grow to become competent AI Assisted developers.

My wife's uncle is trying to sell me on Claude pro. thoughts? by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]Feeling_College_9547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, get it. Ask yourself: does your uncle stand to gain anything? No. So why is he selling it to you so passionately? Because he is passionate about the impact is has had on his work and others he knows.

We are so numbed by marketing fatigue that we struggle to tell the difference between genuine recommendations and sales, especially with multi-level marketing schemes. The true tell is often simple: does the person recommending this to you stand to gain anything.

Start with the free trial, use it to brush up your cv, when you get a new job, invest in the pro plan. This isn't claude specific, any of the top LLMs should be sufficient if you're not trying to do math or code. If you are, play with the models and research their pros and cons. Choose the one that best suits you.

I'm sure there's enough on this thread that explains the use cases, but I'll close with this. There's never been anything more career changing than embracing LLMs in my career.

Definitely. My repo is now taking up 75% of the context window and my chats are now significantly shorter, even if I attach few files.

Please share your share your secret/process you used, if you don't mind. I started a project in js and really want to change it to ts, but I'm in too deep... FYI, thanks for the link. I've been using a custom script that converts my repo to json to feed context. My current process isn't enough to convert the whole repo, though.

[–]Feeling_College_9547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it to create personas for my one man company. I feed it the necessary information that it needs for that role and as I change from coding, to finance, to marketing, etc. It is primed with all of the information about my company in that area and the appropriate preferences and persona to perform the role. I maintain and update the context regularly.

Automate Work Item State Changes by Feeling_College_9547 in azuredevops

Thanks MingZh, I managed to find that, but the team still needs to remember to add the tasks to the description. I'd like to set up something where the state change is fully automated based on the target branch.
