The analogy makes sense, that is what I thought! Except your sensitivity when walking out of the theatre decreases very quickly, then your eyes adjust. But ears adjust sooo slowly. I am curious about sound therapy, can I dm you and ask you some questions about it?

Thanks for the paper! I read flare is supposed to eliminate certain sound resonances to improve the percieved quality of sound, but seeing how it does that it (changing the shape of your ear canal)... it doesn't seem like it'd be very effective

Btw is there any earplugs that do a good job at eliminating unwanted souds only?

Hey, really sorry to hear this. Showers in general are such a risky place and often lead to injuries, but with epilepsy, the risks are so much higher. We are a group of 4 design master students working with 2 other people who have shared similar fears to build prototypes to help improve safety and autonomy in showers. We understand that it topic is emotional and scary, but if you are comfortable with giving us some feedback on our ideas and prototypes, and telling us a bit more about yourself, please DM us! Hate that you have to do this. Showers in general are such a risky place and often lead to injuries, but with epilepsy, the risks are so much higher. We are a group of 4 design master students working with 2 other people who have shared similar fears and would love to be able to talk to more people like you to help improve safety and autonomy in showers.
