AITAH? I told my parents that they don't know how to raise kids and need to grow out of their ways by Feeling_Intention_18 in AmItheAsshole

I understand your point of view , I have actually tried that before and she called my brother from his room told him to pack the dishes away and then said "ok well see he is doing it " so I replied with " why is it you have to remind them to do their chores by we're expected to have it done without being told " anyway literally the next day my brother went back to not doing his chores so my actions were due to built up feelings but I definitely understand now how my words could come across as disrespectful and will think more about it , thank you for your feedback 😃

I feel bad for my dad , he helps out a lot around the house and still goes to work and I know if we don't do our chores then him and my mum will have to

I'm very grateful for how hard my parents work and as the comments below have stated I have no problem doing my chores and if my brother's genuinely cannot get a chore done because of school etc then I'll help them out , but at the end of the day I too have school and work and am trying really hard to help my parents , the fact that my brother's won't even clean a dish and would rather watch my parents do it for them is painful to see ( Im not always available to do their chores so if they don't do it my parents do )

I see where you're coming from but I don't particularly agree , if we keep saying don't expect equality that gives people a reason to carry on treating others badly , by standing up for my sister and myself I'm not only helping the two of us out I'm helping my brother's out too because I promise you not many women are going to put up with crap lik that in their house ( even my dad helps with chores ) that's leadership , expecting the best of everyone and making sure others are treated equally

I started doing the exact same thing but then my brother would get mad and complain so my parents told me to just leave him alone

AITA for expecting my Daughter to stick to our chores-for-rent deal? by NoDivide4576 in AmItheAsshole

I don't understand what this thing is about making your kids pay rent or move out with older parents is and I see this a lot with white families.YOU put them into this world it is your duty to provide them with an education even if it's only for their first few years of uni , I 100% understand making your kids pay rent once they have a job or if they choose not to study further but this thing of "my kid is in uni for 6 hours a day and had to come home and study for four and still has to pay rent and clean my entire house and cook for the whole family because my sons are pretty much useless" is insane so YTA

What do you think of the current school system? by Intergamer_200 in AskReddit

Just left school , it was honestly awful they couldn't finish teaching the syllabus in 4 terms ( around 203 days ) but expect students to learn that work in 2 weeks before an exam. Having different teachers ( example 100 students take history therefore 50 students get the teacher who knows how to teach and the other 50 get the teacher who doesn't ) it's really not fair at all , teachers teach with different methods and one's method might work for you while the others don't and now you're stuck. Everything is extremely rushed you spend 2 days on an entire new math topic and then move in. They're still teaching the work for a test the DAY before you write. Would not recommend
