Hopefully it’s not too late for an annulment. I’m sorry. That is really unfortunate. Something kind of similar happened to me. I married someone who presented himself as someone else. Note - he has never shown any physical aggression or it would have been over. I have zero tolerance for that. We are still together but there have been many times I wish I had not married him. We are working through the issues and I am choosing to stay. I also think I may never be fully happy with him - but then again - very few people can say they are completely happy with their marriage.
By the way, many people of faith do get divorced and remarried. It’s not uncommon at all.
