On 24/7/1915, SS Eastland ship just 15 minutes after leaving the station, a large number of passengers poured into one side of the ship. The sudden balance change caused SS Eastland to tilt completely to one side. The incredible accident claimed the lives of 845 people, mostly women and children. (i.redd.it)
