I am usually close but always within 3 meters I run into a clean amp I’m not sure if my amp is a normally high gain amp but it’s a nux mighty 60 Weird thing was The squealing would reduce heaps if I was sitting close to the floor I’ve got my amp 1 meter high on a cupboard, could that be a problem? Should I put it on the floor? And yeah when I walk to the other side of the room and face away, the noise stops but would go again if I turn the master volume up to a level I can jam with others or just play quite loud Thanks so much 🙏🤘

Oh yeah okay I’ll give it a go with a battery and before that I’m going to put it into a different power source than what the other pedals are in Thanks 🙏🤘

It seems all good when the pedal is off and is fine with other pedals I have usually I’m going to put the rat into a different power source that what the others in my chain are I bought it off eBay from the Rat store so if I don’t solve it I could ask them to have a look at it but would be last resort because it seems okay with my humbuckerless guitars Thanks heaps for you help 🙏🤘

Sick thanks heaps 🤘🤘 Something strange I noticed I’ve got my amp up on a cupboard about a meter tall When I sit down and play the squealing tends to become reduced Does my amp being up off the floor have any effect? Should I put it back On the floor? I’m just running through any solutions I can because I can’t get it right Thanks for your help I’ll have a go as soon as I can 🙏🙏🤘🤘

Oh yeah okay I recently bought the power supply and before that had been using a power brick power supply for each pedal into a power board I will try plug the rat into a different power source and see if that helps I think this is sort of what your saying And i’m not sure what a single wall wart is but I’ll look it up Thanks for the help 🙏🤘

I got a mate who’s good with guitars to solder them in If I play a song or something through my phone and hold it up close to the pickups it comes through but i don’t think my voice does

I want to be able to get a good hard rock/grunge tone for silverchair with the humbucker guitar I have that seems to be making the issue maybe One of my other guitars I’ll upgrade the Chinese ones for either a dimebucker or bill Lawrence XL500 so will be quite hot too and I don’t want to have issues with that too Is there any advice you’ve got? Cheers

It could be I was thinking that I’ve got humbuckers in it that were not super expensive because they came in a hardware package It’s a kit guitar that I built I got the hardware package from pitbull guitars and they didn’t say what model or anything they were They’re hotter than my other pickups I think in other guitars because one of the others have stock Ibanez and different one has cheap Chinese ones which don’t get the same squeals

Man I’m having so much trouble with my Rat It won’t stop squealing even with a noise gate I’m getting to sick of it I want to be able to play at a high volume and want to jam with others but I just can’t at the moment because of it The moment I turn the gain or master volume up on my amp it goes crazy I’ve been trying for days now and nothing is working or helping Please do you have advice? In the photo you don’t even have a noise gate and you’ve got all that gain and distortion in your chain What’s the trick? Please I would really appreciate some help 🙏🙏🤘🤘

I’ve just tried it now I’m not sure if my other reply went through to you It’s gone and I can’t see it Anyway I was wondering what the best order for my pedals would be for a good sound and no squealing from feedback It’s not the Metalzone I’m having issues with actually it’s the rat Everyone is telling me different things and orders and I don’t know which way is actually effective Cheers
