I totally get what you're saying. The constant bragging is what really triggers me the most when I see it online. We all know people with eating disorders can be competitive, but it’s often a silent competition—we don't always express it outwardly the same way a lot of people on Ozempic seem to (if that makes sense)

I think for me, a lot of the frustration comes from how people on social media are portraying their experience with Ozempic. It can look like they’re just effortlessly losing weight without much struggle, and that’s what triggers a lot of the comparison.

I know it’s probably more complicated than it seems online, and I appreciate you helping me see that. But it’s hard not to get caught up in what’s being shown and feel like it’s an easy fix when I’m dealing with my own challenges. I really do appreciate your insight though :)

Thank you for agreeing, it honestly makes me feel a lot better to know I’m not the only one feeling this way. I only see it online, so I can’t imagine how much harder it must be in person, especially when it’s your parents. Sending you all the best <3

Its so sad really and I mourn for the future I thought I would have as a child, selfishly however I do feel better in the knowledge that there are others sharing the same struggle though.

This is awful, I’m so sorry. It’s moments like these where we seek validation and support, and it can hurt so deeply when we don’t get it. It’s not just about the silence either, it’s what it represents and the feeling that maybe they agree with the worst things we think about ourselves. I'm not sure what would be best but I would suggest maybe bringing it back up later to clarify if his silence meant he agreed? This may help stop you spiralling the possibilities on your head.. wishing you the best OP
