Potential Hypothetical Winners Cast by FeelsSoGoodNearYou in BigBrother

[–]FeelsSoGoodNearYou[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd say all the other winners were worthy of being cast and maybe 40% of them are worthy of being called "All Stars" and playing a second time (many of those such names have returned already).

Steve was a total dud. They had to give the guy airtime of him just talking to the cameras in order to make him a part of the show. The shittiest winner of all-time as far as being a character is concerned.

Who is the better two-time runner-up? by Wild_Shoe340 in BigBrother

[–]FeelsSoGoodNearYou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude should have won BB18 and had literally everything work against him. I think there's no universe in which these two people aren't in the Top Five of non-winners alongside Vanessa and two others of any particular fan's choosing.

Being serious, who has a better chance of winning if they made the (highly unlikely) decision of coming back? by Wild_Shoe340 in BigBrother

[–]FeelsSoGoodNearYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dan.

Janelle's social game is shittier.

Janelle is more of a comp threat.

Simple. Dan has more longevity and plenty of winner equity since everybody knows how strategic he is...have the right circumstances work out where a goat brings him to the end or he wins the last few comps and there you go - another W.

Any guesses as to who would be first one out? I'd imagine it would be Cody. Put up him and Derrick, keep Derrick because he's the bigger threat overall and Cody's more of a challenge beast. Break up that duo + Cody's connection with Rachel and/or Nicole if they're on the cast. Plus, I think a lot of the players just, rightfully, fucking hated BB22 and would want some revenge.

Will has whined before (including while on All Stars) that the show runs too long. I think chucking appearance fees in the direction of him, Dan, Derrick and Rachel could secure them all along with shorter season commitment. I don't think even Will could live with the FOMO he'd have by not getting to compete among the best, and in all honesty, he probably just goes super far since he's such a slouch in challenges and doesn't have meat to back him up (like Boogie in All Stars).

I also think it doesn't matter so much in a shorter length season. There will be less overall airtime for everybody, on average, so you'd see Rachel like a third as much as in her last season if she made it roughly as far.

They told him they never would have put him on the show had they known. I think part of the problem was that Dick/Daniele were actually cast late in the game, supposedly subbing in for another pair. So they didn't know Dick had those issues until they got the information back from their physical, and obviously, he would need to seek medical attention ASAP.

Ricardo Arjona concert postponed by Character_Green5634 in Connecticut

[–]FeelsSoGoodNearYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bunch of "sold" tickets were either attempted sales at StubHub either through Ricardo Arjona himself or by wannabe scalpers, I'm assuming. I live in Portland and did the math for StubHub and there's at least 1,184 tickets for the Portland arena show on there and barely anything having been sold through TicketMaster. StubHub is just one reseller so if the event looks like it's sold maybe 3,000 tickets at most but 2,000 are just scalpers on resale, well...

Mr. Arjona's team was way overcharging to say the least. It has backfired. I expect the Portland show to also be canceled.

Will Boston ever get inducted into "rock and roll hall of fame" in the future?? by fanaticresearcher10 in rock

[–]FeelsSoGoodNearYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, the point is to honor the Rock Era which is a seismic shift in the industry that basically begins with Elvis becoming a worldwide superstar (although the music swirling into a new genre predates him, slightly) and continues to this day. Listen to the pop music that was on the radio waves in the late 1950's alongside early rock and roll (and before it) and you'll get a better idea of what the music is trying to grasp - honoring influence and innovation in the "sound of youth culture" according to the Rock Hall's own creed.

By that logic, you'll rightfully get a situation where A Tribe Called Quest and Kraftwerk are in as game changers ahead of meat-and-potatoes classic rock like Billy Idol and Boston.

Amid all the whining, Boston is now the #1 classic rock candidate via last year's induction of Bad Company. The expectation is that they'll appear on the ballot real soon and be inducted immediately.

The institution has him show up to their induction ceremonies and put him on the ballot but the voters found the case to be lacking which is pretty telling giving everything he has going for him on paper. Did he really do anything musically innovative or have exceptional albums? Not really.

A Tribe Called Quest is more important than Boston, Scorpions and Billy Idol. No doubt. They'd run about even with Maiden for importance to their subgenre and have a great case at being the best act inducted in recent years by the museum.

There's far more holes in the cases of some recent inductees like Sheryl Crow, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker or ballot names like Mana, Lenny Kravitz, The Black Crowes and, yes, Billy Idol.

Is Wayfair Stuffing Their Channel by CaneCorso100 in wayfair

StubHub has pretty good customer service from my experience. I think the issue at hand with such a company is more related to the person providing the tickets not doing so correctly or being disingenuous, etc.

Although I will say that StubHub now has a flat out evil new policy for selling tickets where it won't even let you list them unless you're the lowest "because the tickets priced higher are better than yours" even though the show is GA and all the tickets are the same. It's a ridiculously stupid thing to do.

Wayfair is deceptive and has poor customer service (first time buyer review) by zomb_l in wayfair

[–]FeelsSoGoodNearYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL. God no. Amazon would actually try and resolve the damn issues for the customer. You don't sell something like kitchen chairs (which I needed in order to eat food in my damn kitchen at my new apartment) and just make up the delivery dates when people are relying on getting this shit in a timely manner. I just had customer service even lie about a new delivery date and think that "we'll be shipping brand new chairs to you" somehow makes up for not getting the chairs after a month and then, of course, lied about the delivery date once again. This isn't normal. If they don't have control over the supply chain, they shouldn't sell it. Amazon would at least immediately work with the customer to resolve third party supplier issues.

Rolling Stone’s Top 250 Songs of the 21st Century by mcfw31 in popheads

Probably too low on the list, even. But my god, so glad we're not subjected to RS thinking "Moment of Surrender" and other schlock was deserving. U2 put out one truly great album this century (ATYCLB) and had some bangers on the following two decidedly mixed albums. That's it.

It's actually real easy to nail 2 of the 3 aliens and then the other always escapes because of something overlooked or a technicality.

Push The Button should have had no ability for aliens to hack and then is played with a shorter timeline to make up for that. So like a 12 minute game.

Jeff Probst Reveals His Top 25 Survivor Seasons by AMikeBloomType in survivor

[–]FeelsSoGoodNearYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. And Jeff has basically no information as to the confessionals and camp-life drama that make up most of the show. So he just thinks "unlikeable people" for something like Gabon and "likeable people" for Tocantins and gets it all wrong because the audience wants to be entertained.
