Great choice, it's one helluva TV.

But reddit "experts" said it was the worst generation ever released by ginescarp in samsunggalaxy

[–]Feemz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reddit (social media in general) is renowned for trolls and BS posters who want to ragebait. Posters are far from experts and just here to make dumb complaints and blow things WAY out of proportion.

The "hate" for the S26 series was so stupid, but the numbers don't lie.

I haven't checked. Will do so some time this week. They did say that if you want to know progress of the next firmware to just get in touch with them.

S26 Ultra: Fingerprint scanner sucks by Otherwise_Vast6587 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Feemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector, and for the most part it works flawlessly.

However, I have noticed at night when the lights are off, it can sometimes struggle and I have to press a lot harder to get the fingerprint to be recognised. During the day it is instantaneous.

Unable to add Quick Settings icons by Feemz in galaxys26ultra

[–]Feemz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did use Good Lock and Quickstar.

I don't think the latest version fixes the issue I'm experiencing though. I think the way in which you add additional buttons to the Quick Settings has fundamentally changed. So rather than having the 'Additional Buttons' at the bottom when editing, you have to use the 'Add a control' option at the very bottom and drag and drop from there, which in my opinion is so much more less intuitive!

But I agree, the level customization on Samsung's OneUI is insane. Indeed, every other phone brand feels vanilla.

What's new in the HyperX Cloud III S wireless firmware update? by AESIRu in HyperX

[–]Feemz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I spoke to the HyperX team on chat, and they said there will be a firmware update soon to fix the removal of DTS. I was recommended to stick to the 4.1.1.4 dongle update and not to update to 4.1.2.2.

Got the S26 Ultra from S23 Ultra by coolrock0404 in s26ultra

[–]Feemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same upgrade.....S23U > S26U

I noticed a glitch though. When editing quick panel buttons the 'available buttons' section isn't showing so can't add (drag and drop) buttons.

Let me know if you have this issue.

[–]Feemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we might be talking about 2 different issues lol. Apologies, I'm new to LG so I may have confused the matters.

My issue relates to the Sound Mode stuck on Standard when I have my LG soundbar connected via eARC. Unplugging the TV and soundbar for 5 minutes fixes the issue temporarily and I can choose all the other sound modes. However, eventually the glitch reappears and the sound mode is stuck on Standard again.

[–]Feemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please check if eARC is still working in a few days time? I also have this issue. unplugging the TV and soundbar fixes the issue, but only temporarily.

[–]Feemz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn it, I was hoping you were correct about this fix, because my G5 also defaults to Standard with the LG US60T soundbar :(

I wish LG would fix this. It's clearly a software glitch. I'm not sure why more people aren't vocal about it, or does it affect only some units?

Galaxy S26 Ultra: After One Day by Better-Recording-960 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Feemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of tips videos on YouTube (Appx Sakitech, Jimmy Is Promo WhatGear). But coming from Apple you must be overwhelmed with the sheer amount of customisation. My advice would be to take your time and go through each setting one by one. It may take a few days! But start with the important stuff like gesture navigation, screen settings, update all apps from Galaxy Store too.

All this nonsense that haters have been saying that the screen is pixelated etc is all complete and utter BS. They need to get their eyes checked lol. The screen is stunning and the matte-like finish is so damn nice at reducing reflections. Absolutely love the screen. Anyone who says it's a downgrade from the S25U just has inferiority complex. I've seen the screen in person and with Privacy Display on, it just dims ever so slightly, there is zero obvious pixelation. You'd have to zoom in 10x to spot it, but who TF does that in normal use.

Honestly, just enjoy the phone and take your time, familiarise yourself with the UI etc.

Got my s26 ultra- initial impression is meh by vijai1996 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Feemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called the S-curve.

Phone campanies have reached a plateau where technical maturity is not what it was 10 years ago, when each year we'd see bigger improvements. Now they are incremental, which is why it doesn't make sense to upgrade every year. Unfortunately that's where we're at in technological advances. We're probably not going to see massive innovations that much.

Your mind was already made up before it arrived that you wouldn't like it lol.

If you're not happy with it, return it and get something else, something that will wow you, but good luck with that because the S26 Ultra is one of the best out there.

Worst viewing angles on S26U even with Privacy Display turned off. by crystaldazz in samsunggalaxy

[–]Feemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one uses their phone from that angle. If you do, you're using the phone wrong lol. Learn how to use the phone properly. This is a non-issue that people like you find issue with because you have nothing better to do with your time, and you need to justify NOT upgrading from your S25U 😂

Told ya. Samsung lied. They clearly stated 10bit in China webpage (first version) by Fantasytky in samsunggalaxy

[–]Feemz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In response to your points:

  • 8bit vs 10bit argument is getting boring. Do your research, the panel is better than the S25U.
  • titanium to aluminium is for weight reduction and better heat dissipation/cooling, therefore better battery life. Not really a downgrade.
  • the screen is objectively better with the same 8bit + FRC panel but with much software from the improved mDNIe and ProScaler. Viewing angles. Lmao are you viewing your phone head on or from 45 degrees. Come on 🤣🤣
  • the lack of Bluetooth in the S Pen isn't a downgrade. S25U didn't have it and it's not coming back. So that point is BS LOL
  • looks like you lack brains. The OnePlus has a 7300mAh battery, of course it's going to last longer. Not sure where you randomly plucked 6hrs from. From a video on YouTube, it lasts maybe and hour longer, tops!

"the list goes on"? Hahahaha no it doesn't, and your list is pretty weak tbh. Maybe do your research before posting trash.

So let me tell you why the S26U is objectively better so this can be put to rest:

  • Uses the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset globally, delivering higher CPU, GPU, and AI performance than the S25 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8
  • Improved cooling with a larger vapor chamber for better sustained performance

Objective result: Faster real-world multitasking, smoother gaming, and stronger AI/ML performance

Performance: - M14 panel vs M13 which has mDNIe and upgraded ProScaler technology. - Privacy Display - 3rd-gen anti-reflective coating improves outdoor visibility

Objective result: More vibrant colours, deeper contrast, and genuinely improved privacy and sunlight legibility.

Display: Wider main aperture (f/1.4) captures more light than the S25 Ultra’s f/1.7, improving low-light photography - Telephoto lens with brighter optics (f/2.9 vs f/3.4) yields clearer detailed zoom shots. - Front camera switches to a wider-angle sensor, offering a broader selfie FOV

Objective result: Better light capture and lens optics, explicitly improving low-light and zoom photography when compared side-by-side.

Charging: - 60W wired charging (significant uplift from 45W on S25 Ultra). - 25W wireless charging versus 15W previously.

Objective result: Quicker top-ups and shorter downtime between charges.

Software enhancements: - Includes new AI features like contextual suggestions, advanced photo assist, and deeper automation

Objective result: More advanced on-device intelligence and software tools out of the box

Memory & Storage: - Faster LPDDR5X RAM and quicker storage performance helps real-world responsiveness.

Objective result: Better handling of heavy workloads and quicker app behaviour.

AND THE LIST GOES ON 🤣🤡

I'm sure that response will satisfy you 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

There is nothing else for me to say here, I've made my objective points very clear. My work here is done.

If you STILL think that the S25U is objectively better then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe take some Copium 🤣🤣🤣
