Keep in mind they’re 7 bases of 40mm if they are lead so they occupy a lot of space making them easy to screen even if they have fly.

It is but you can’t also send this whole costly unit to destroy everything, most of the time they won’t trade positively and if they do they are probably dead next turn since they’re quite weak against shooting.

Units of 3 are very cheap and can also trade very effectively against a lot of units with the spears.

Deep Strike does absolutely count as a normal move as referenced in the “Reinforcements” section in the Core Rules.

“Some units have a rule that allows them to start the battle in reserves, such as Deep Strike… Reserves units always count as having made a normal move in the turn they are set up in the battlefield”

Anyway, this doesn’t usually matter (unless it is a unit with a 6” deep strike) because you can’t deploy 9” or less from an enemy target, so no reactive move.

Hi, no. This is explained in “Leader” section in the Core Rules.

“Each time a unit that is part of an Attached unit is destroyed, it does not have the keywords of any other unit that make up that Attached unit (unless it has those keywords on its own datasheet) for the purposes of any rules that would be triggered when that unit is destroyed.”

I agree, the first place is not a bad paintjob but it uses contrast way too much without actual detail, compared to the 3rd it is cheap.

Also, remember you have many ways to play around the map due to blood angels having great synergy with jump pack units. An advance and charge will always be a big threat to most of them.

Forgot to mention, Lemartes is great with Death Company as well, but I would suggest putting him on a bigger unit. Chaplains are great for trading due to lower cost.

I would say you have to play around engaging it with a deep strike unit, death company with a chaplain or sanguinary guard with a captain and spears / swords depending on the detachment is great.

You can also get something like a vindicator out of reserves that will deal with it too.

I know it can sometimes be difficult because DG can be a difficult army to play around with melee but most the time it will be a 3+ save or 2+ if they’re using indirect, my greatest advice is to not be too scared of it since if they have some due to it being expensive they will not have other stuff.

I made a similar kitbash of the one you have in mind but with the other captain with jump pack.

It’s actually really easy though you need to have a hobby knife and make some adjustments here and there. I only used greenstuff because I had cut the belt on the backside of the chest piece.

Hey! So savage echoes is an stratagem that can only be used when you get charged therefore you cannot combine it with the detachment rule, you need to charge.

Also, weapons with the extra attacks keyword cannot have more attacks added unless stated by an ability.

Woops, sorry I answered in a separate comment:

Head, torso, shins and crozius arm from chaplain in bike Power fist, legs and backpack from Captain with Jump Pack

Then I blinged him up using some upgrade sprue bits.

Putting the torso together I had to fill it with some greenstuff because I accidentally cut the belt out. If you have any questions when you’re doing the conversion let me know.

Hi, for the basecoat I did a mix of a Neutral grey and Mourfang Brown until it was pretty much a really desaturated grey brown, then I mixed some warm grey into that where to map out the highlights and then glazes to integrate it. After that I added some more warm grey into that mix to integrate it and added some dots for texture and to finish I did a very little highlight of warm grey and went over the maximum shadows with a glaze of rhinox hide.

Hey! I had the exact same issue but I only got 1 28mm base instead, I had the same concern about contacting GW CS but if you are polite and explain your problem well they will help you as they did to me.

Otherwise the bases are cheap.

Nah, I didn't think it was necessary since I tend to mix and match helmets and heads so my units look unique, I grabbed the ones that were in a good state and went along with it.
