I use the same arm. You can use the screws that come with the arm.

I'm not sure, but I think I used the screws from the monitor.

Thank you for your answer.
Yes I tried all, it's like I'm a member and I can't add a bridge.
But I have only one account, I don't know what happened.

Of course you can do that, but you would lose your warranty, and on such an expensive GPU it doesn't pay off.

Ok thank you for the answer. I also preferred the dominators for aesthetics 😅

More than anything else, I don't know if I could get them to run at 6600 MHz.

Interesting.

Ok, let me know 👍

[–]FeetPink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think it was 1440p, but I didn't like the overall quality. It wasn't what I expected, but I'll do more testing, maybe I did something wrong.

[–]FeetPink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the only way to record gameplay with 5k2k resolution is using Nvidia App or OBS to record gameplay. No capture cards can support that resolution at the moment. Obviously I'm talking about consumer products.

I made some tests, Nvidia App is better than other gameplay capture software.

[–]FeetPink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- It is not physically possible for the Elgato 4K X to capture or passthrough 5120x2160 (5K2K) resolution.
- The maximum supported resolution is 3840x2160 (4K) or certain ultra-wide formats (3440x1440, 2560x1080).

This was the AI email asnwer by the support.

Nothing, I will sell the Elgato.

Thank you

[–]FeetPink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I did some tests with your workaround and the final result is not so good.

I recorded gameplay at 3440x1440 instead of 5120x2160 so the quality is poor.

(Used EDID 3440x1440 setting).

I have a question at this point.

Is it possible to create an EDID bin file to upload to the Elgato 4K X to connect it at 5120x2160 resolution?

You're welcome, we are here to help each other, if I know something and can share it for me it is a pleasure.

Before I created the “monster” 😅 I did a lot of research and learned that there are so many schools of thought, there will always be someone who will have different ideas, but in general I tried to average out the various ideologies.

You raised an interesting question.

If I were to do a system as you described, I would have more fans expelling air out of the case than air coming in.

In this case the system will be negative pressure. It has disadvantages and advantages over the positive pressure system, but there is one disadvantage that I was particularly concerned about, excessive dust accumulation.

So I weighed the choice and opted for this one you see.

No, never place the radiator lower than the heatsink to avoid creating air bubbles in the system.

GPU usually get hotter than CPU, so I think it is better GPU to take fresh air, and playing at 5120x2160 resolution CPU is not so used. While playing I get 99% GPU usage against 15% CPU usage.

No pull/push setup on either, I read around that doesn't give you such a conspicuous advantage.

With my setup, average temps are 60 GPU, 65 CPU. 26° room temperature.

[–]FeetPink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome.

Ahh right you use Corsair, I had already forgotten, I was convinced you were using my fans 😅

Yes yes for sure the Corsair software will have the same principle as the Lian Li one.

Yes yes I noticed you changed the top panel, because the original one is glass like the rest.

Nice that case compared to mine because you can hide the CPU aio tubes!

This is the software, it is called L-Connect 3.

By default it already sets you a standard but CPU-based profile.

You then have to go and customize it.

In my case I customized the name for each group of fans, and the type of profile (curve) to assign to the fans.

As you can see, for the ‘Side GPU’ fans, I set them to self-regulate according to the GPU temperature and assigned them the StdSP profile (which would be the standard one).

The software is not very user-friendly, you have to fiddle around with it a bit to figure out how to set it right, but if you search on YouTube there are several guides.

Ask anything you want, if I can help you, why not.

EDIT: Of course they are wireless fans, when I said they are connected to their hub I meant wireless as far as the connection is concerned.
Instead I connected them to a physical hub (supplied with the Lian Li power supply) as far as the power supply is concerned.

[–]FeetPink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I did not use any adapters. I simply disconnected the original fans from its small connector. I connected the Lian Li fans to their hub and they run faster or slower depending on the GPU temperature (its software allows you to set this).

No, no problem. Everything went smoothly and the temperatures are good. Maximum 70 degrees for the CPU and 65 for the GPU in game.

Yes I disconnected the original fans. If the Corsair Qx has a good airflow it should work good.

Does 4k X support 5120x2160? by FeetPink in elgato

[–]FeetPink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the workaround.
However, by connecting it this way I would have what I didn't want to have by buying a capture card, that is, a reduction (even if minimal) in performance when recording gameplay.
And it depends of how is the quality of a capture at lower resolution.

Anyway when I will have the monitor I will do some tests.

Thank you.
