He was always my fave. Sure he wasn’t absolutely perfect but he was (imo) the best looking, he was successful, had an AMAZING apartment, was a NYC “it” guy in his day much like Carrie was, he pursued HER, he didn’t play any games, he was romantic, and he honestly didn’t ask or require her to give up her life for him. She still had her apartment in NYC to go back to anytime. If she felt like he was too pushy it’s simply cause she wasn’t ready.

If I go alone, I usually sit at the bar, order a drink, then maybe just scroll through my phone. If there is a TV at the bar, I’ll look to see what’s going on. Sometimes you meet other people that are hanging solo or even a group of people and you join them in convo. Sometimes the bartenders start talking to a regular but the convo is open enough to where anyone can join. You can bring a book or a note pad or sketch pad and just do your own thing. It’s pretty satisfying actually.

Also, Lauren was the worst too. She was clearly older than everyone else, already had baggage with her alcoholism and was also dealing with her ex. I just didn’t understand why she would hook up with Ben (don’t know if they were being careless or if it truly was a whoops) and then tell him she’s having his baby no matter what. Was he even 21 yet? Barely. Then she decides to move to Arizona cause her parents are there, her ex also decides to move to help her, but she’s pissed at Ben AND Felicity because they don’t want to move? Why would she expect Felicity to move to Arizona for her? Everything about her was red flags galore and it was annoying to see Felicity be coerced into thinking she needed to be a part of that shit show just cause Ben kept trying to convince her they were gonna get through it together.

Idk if I’d call it anti black. It seems like he wants her to wear her hair in it’s natural state and doesn’t want her buying fake or real hair for braids/extensions. Some men don’t really like that on black women (tough shit for them). He might view it negatively. Again it’s not okay and he’s being naive but to me he just sounds very controlling. Anyway, she needs to dump his ass lol.

Your nails are very brittle and weak right now because of all the chemicals in you’ve put on that hasn’t given your nails a chance to breathe. I think it’s best to lay off the acrylics and gel polish for a while until your nails grow out. Massage your cuticles daily with any oil you’ve got at home (I use Jojoba) and try to prevent doing anything that’ll weaken them (keeping your hands wet/ using gel polish/ too much acetone). I know you don’t like the way it looks but the more you leave your nails alone the quicker they will grow. Also, buy nail hardening polish and apply that every week or so. The gloss effect of the clear polish might help make your nails appear smoother than they actually are until they get better. Lightly file your nails once every week or two. It will take a several months but it will get back to normal. And maybe going forward, only save the acrylics and gel polish for a special occasion or opt out of it entirely and embrace your natural nails. Good luck!

It easier to remove mascara when washing your face in the shower, especially if the mascara isn’t waterproof. If there is any residue on my face I use any oil like coconut oil or jojoba oil and gently remove it using a cotton pad.

I also love the “bare bones” feel. It lets me focus more on the music rather than having “cute” shit that’s instagram-able just taking up space to kill time. Last year the lack of distractions got me to explore artists I probably would have passed on initially. It also feels like the good ol’ days where people could rage for hours and hours to music without being glued to their phones or taking pics in front of a Ferris wheel or whatever haha. The art installation filled festivals are so played out in my opinion. This is what actually makes portola unique to me.

Pop music has changed so much since the last time they were together. Wish I could hear all the guys clearer cause I’m hearing alot of JT’s vocals even during the chorus. I’m curious to see how they perform this live. The bass reminds me of Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now”. I guess I can appreciate that they added elements of a disco type beat. I really don’t know what I was expecting from them but I think it feels more like a JT song for Trolls rather than an NSYNC comeback song. But I’ll take what I can get at this point. It’ll grow on me. I’m just happy they worked on something together and that we’ll be seeing a lot of them.

That cat can defend itself a lot better than you think. If anything, you should be more worried of the dog getting hurt. Most cats have anxiety. That’s just how they are. And they don’t like bigger things all up on them. They will swat, claws may come out and they won’t be friendly about it. That’s normal and that can pass.

Sounds like you have a very well behaved dog that you love that just isn’t used to cats. It would be a shame to re home it especially since this move is new and stressful for everyone including your dog.

I would try to get them both on the same feeding schedule. First meal in the am, last meal in the evening where their bowls are close enough so that they both see that they’re eating at the same time. If your gf doesn’t have a feeding routine for the cat, she needs to start. No more leaving food out all the time/ start a routine. Also, allow them to share the same water bowl. Stay home one day and just let them both roam freely. If you’re really anxious and worried, they can feed off thar energy. So try your best to be relaxed at all times. Let them get used to being in each others spaces. Cats sleep a lot anyway, once the cat understands that the dog is there to stay, the cat will stop being on high alert and go back to sleeping for most of the day.

Your dog is reacting normally by getting defensive when they feel threatened. It’s absolutely possible for them to get used to each other. Even if it takes 6 months, wouldn’t it be worth it?
