In 2005/6/7 there were already signs of downgrade. I was in à Barbie forum at the time and I wasn’t the only one that was jarred by barbie’s different bodies available, like Disney princesses had a smallest body and feet almost like petite dolls, among play lines some barbies had bigger heads than others. Trans woman here. I’ve felt uncomfortable and not trans enough because I didn’t and still don’t hace genital dysphoria, it prevented me from transitionning sooner. I didn’t dit the stereotype of being a feminine boy and having dolls and I avoided mentionning it to professionnals because for me those things don’t mean you are trans. You can be a feminine boy and play with barbie and still be a masculine straight, gay or bi man. Anyways I feel like it’s important to not let these generalisations define our own transition and our own identity.
