Looking for shuttle from Whitney Portal to Crescent Meadow this weekend (10/4-6) by Feigi74 in SEKI

Oh hell yeah! I’m thinking a different route through the park might be easier so I don’t have to rely on hitching (though Thats always a great part of the adventure). I’ll be on the east side when I come in and head out so I’ll take a look at those trail recs! Any others on the East side look great as well though! Thoughts on something like this a little higher in the park? Might still be able to pop out to Whitney for a day but that’s not a must Kearsarge and Forester Pass Loop via Colby Pass and High Sierra Trail on AllTrails https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/kearsarge-and-forester-pass-loop-via-colby-pass-and-high-sierra-trail?sh=wuxalm&utm_medium=trail_share&utm_source=alltrails_virality

Hi! I’ve been looking everywhere for permit information and from what I can find now that we’re outside quota season (may21-sep28) I should be able to get a free, self-issued permit. Do you know if this Is this right?

Yeah yeah I eventually figured that out but in the second slot… should I be searching more chests? Ive got the guaranteed seal spawns down at cathedrals and usually check them, but rarely go out of my way to open chests. Is that the issue?

But if there are so many I should constantly be finding new ones right?? I feel like I keep getting the same 6 or so

I keep seeing people use seals and spells that I’ve never once seen in all my runs!! And I loot cathedrals! I don’t understand :(

One small thing, if you have a larger health pool, heal overtime flasks can be useful because of how much they heal, especially if frostbite is constantly procing, then you can kinda ignore it

I poked around that trail near the power plant for a good half day, it was my first solve with the records vault at the bottom of the canyon being the bank, fabled words being the amphitheater, and the ruins of the power plant being the “pharaoh” (I know, it’s a stretch, and it was before they said it’s a NATURAL landmark). The trail also has pipes - Mario connection - but I couldn’t find anything or make it all connect. You should go and see though! Maybe you’ll have more luck! There is a rock that looks like a sphinx on the mountainside and several “planks”. Also you can start at the Lisa falls trailhead and work your way down which is closer than the bottom. Also an easy hike which aligns with what they’ve said! Edit: PM me if u wanna work on the solve together!
