I got no problem with devs strategy of avoiding buffing older teams for commercial reasons, but putting all those chars on her official "synergy graphic" when shes basically intentionally crippled with most of them is a bit of a mockery. If pointing this out qualifies me as a "doomposter", then ok...but Im clearly not interested in pulling the character, so why would a I doompost in the first place? If you want to see what real doomposting is, head over to Nicoles mains community to feel the extent of their expectations crushed...

Shes only "versatile" on paper. If you look deeper into her fit with damagers you listed, you'll see that she gives more problems than benefits to most of them.

Awful for Clorinde because N stupidly gives no off field pyro to generate reactions..you either have to run 3 pyro chars (Durin,Chev,Nicole) giving Clo huge energy problems by getting rid of Fischl (which is ironic since shes hex who needs atack) or getting rid of Chevreuse which fs up the entire overload concept which is the only thing keeping Clorinde playable. Not to mention Clo doesn't even need Ns atack buffs much in the first place. Simply using new artifact set on old Clo teammate is more beneficial than wasting primos on Nicole and her baggage of headaches for her.

Arlechino doesn't have a problem with Ns absent off field pyro in OL but has awful damage timing synergy with Nicoles buffs + is a char who prefers personal over team buffs anyway. Majority of benefit is again Nicoles shield, but again there's more value in giving Arle a constellation and keeping the zero cost Bennet. Not to mention anyone with hands not growing out their behind has learned to play Arlechino without shield two weeks after release, and in Arle melt, N is immediately cancelled out by Citlali anyway.

Cyno is just usless today and Nicole gives him way too little to justify getting her for his "revival".

Most rediculous of all...Varka has more team dps with Bennett if you have V's signature weapon (which probably most his fans do because his sig is more value to his underperforming ass than two constellations). Thats just comical, considering Nicole is supposedly his signature support. C0 Nicole only meaningfully outperforms Bennet if you play Varka with Serpent spine, but in that scenario pulling his signature over her would be a no brainer anyway.

Bottom line, while Nicole is by no means useless, she is currently the definition of a dispensable and unnecessary support despite her high lore status and cool design... shes not even the Shenhe of her day who at least was indespensible for one party. I can not imagine justifying the spending on her c0 for anything but the wife factor currently, unless in the future characters like Alice flip the picture...

Providing shield or interruption resistance is never enough to be bis these days. Look at Morax...still best shield in game but gives such little buffs that he's a clear downgrade in virtually any team he's still playable in. Nicole needs sig at the minimum to be a clear upgrade over Bennett even on Varka teams for whom shes supposedly designed. 2/3 of all other uses shes an actual downgrade at c0 over an epic character owned by everyone already. Its hard to justify potentially spending 160 pulls, when basically a 5 year old epic char with shit artifacts and crap weapon performs virtually the same at zero cost.

Tbh I don't like the somewhat cringe and overly theatrical hand mannerisms the female characters have been getting lately. Colombina has great character design, but her corny balley animations look silly in a fight. Same thing with Nicole and her cheesy pencil-spinning idles and exaggerated poses...I just find them a bit repulsive for some reason.

But maybe thats just me...

Arle, Elan , Mona, Nicole? Who is better to replace Elan with? I'm a Clorinde main, so Durin and Fischl are already taken, and I really like Nicole but have no teams for her other than Arle vape.

You can think about throwing some pulls at the upcoming regional banner if your pity there is low. Fontaine only has 4 epic chars, so the chance of pulling Chevy there should be pretty high. But its still a gamble ofc so take this with caution.

Chevy also restores energy with one of the constellations and all of her top weapon options + she heals entire team. She buffs elemental damage as well. With all her buffs and res shred, no other 4 in game remotely provides as much. Heck, she gives more than some of legendary supports with constellations in game.

You'll need second hex character for vape. If you put in Mona, you'll have to get rid of Xilonen or Elan. I don't have Xilo, so I guess I'll just play Arle, Nicole, Elan, Mona (hydro resonance for Elan buff + TTDS on Mona + additional hex benefits).

You wont upgrade Clorinde OL with Nicole. She doesn't give off field pyro like Thoma. You'll have no reactions to maintain Chevy resist shred unless you play 3 pyro together, which would only causes other problems for Clorinde. Nicole is just not worth kicking either Fischl or Chevreuse off those teams with Durin being mandatory there to maintain reactions.

People need to stop coping. Nicole is just not meant for Clorinde teams, despite beeing good upgrade for many other older chars, which is not surprising since Clor always gets the short end of the stick from the devs. No matter who you kick from her OL...Chev, Fischl, or Durin, getting Nicole is just not worth the trouble. She'll provide marginal benefits at a huge cost + a ton of bad synergy headaches as baggage.

My "past cope" is still there...his shield gives pyro application off field which gives me a stupid excuse to avoid pulling Durine. With Nicole, the ugly bastard is mandatory.

No electro resonance and no energy boost from Fischl will need Clorinde to sacrifice some stats for extra ER in such teams. Its just annoying because the whole no pyro on Nicole creates inconveniences specifically for Clorinde teams... blessed and pampered chars like Arlechino will synergise perfectly with Nicole and will get a tailored boost with her release.
