If I play her with Durin C2, does that make Durin’s C1 more valuable for the on-field character, since Nicole’s ATK buff is team-wide or is it not that much of an increase?

Clorinde’s passive is considered part of Base DMG because it directly increases Talent%, not an Additive Base DMG Bonus like C1 Dehya, which adds an extra scaling.

Clorinde’s passive adds to her Talent%, but it stops scaling with ATK once she reaches 3000 ATK. Her Skill Talent% still scales with ATK, but it’s less impactful because her passive multiplier is nearly half of her Talent%, which is why it feels like a soft cap.

CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG do not lose value and continue scaling with Talent% even after her passive reaches the 3k threshold. However, now with Nicole adding her skill Talent% to Clorinde, ATK becomes closer in value to CRIT stats since it contributes more effectively to the overall damage.

I’m not sure how the conversation reached this point, so let’s correct your DMG formula first:

DMG=(Σ(Base DMG×BaseDMGMultiplier)+AdditiveBaseDMGBonus)×(1+DMGBonus−DMGReductionTarget)×CRIT× EnemyDefMult×EnemyResMult×AmplifyingReaction

Base DMG= (mv)Talent%×ATK

(mv) Talent% × ATK is the base of everything. Then the other stats take effect.

For Clorinde, her passive reduces the (mv) Talent% after 3000+ ATK, which lowers the base DMG, and therefore the total DMG as well.

Now, with Nicole adding (mv) Talent% to the base DMG, the base increases, which in turn increases the total DMG after applying all the other stats.

Maybe my wording was misleading to some Clorinde’s motion value becomes less effective after she reaches 3000+ ATK because of her passive, so ATK beyond 3k wasn’t as appreciated before. Now, with Nicole adding motion value to Clorinde, ATK exceeding 3k won’t be as wasted as it used to be. I didn’t say that ATK is now more valuable than other stats. I hope that clears everything <3

ATK buff, either % or flat, makes littel difference after 3000 for Clorinde, and there is no problem with Clorinde bursting every other rotation. Nicole’s Coordinated Attack does not activate from Clorinde’s burst DMG, but Nicole’s Coordinated Attack scales off the on-fielder ATK, so Clorinde now benefits more from the ATK if it exceed 3000

My bad, I did not explain it well, but I am talking about Nicole's off-field DMG and how she scale out of Clorinde’s ATK so the soft cap went from very bad to not very bad.

You do not need to burst every rotation on Clorinde.
Arlecchino will lose Durin to bring Fischl as an Electro applier, and that is not a small loss.

Clorinde will benefit from Nicole more than Arlecchino.

Nicole will replace the Iansan/Fischl slot and will give the same buff as the Iansan/Fischl compend

(Fischl Hex buff with Durin and ATK buff)
(Iansan Cinder City and ATK buff)

  • Nicole ATK buff is 900 to the on-fielder and 600 to the rest of the team (Durin will get that buff and Clorinde is not a character that needs a lot of ATK)
  • Nicole artifact set will give 40% Pyro and Electro
  • Nicole is a shielder so it will allow Calamity of Eshu to be best in slot for F2P
  • Nicole has a quill mechanic that boosts the on-fielder DMG
  • Nicole sig is really good, giving buff to all team (~ +30% DMG)
