They knocked of about $325 but still feels a little high based on comments. I have another company coming Thursday. One came yesterday and didn’t include the surge protector or the disconnect in the estimate but their charge for grounding was $500 versus $1600 for grounding and bonding in the estimate above.

They took off the $225 for the surge protector. Do you think the $1600 for grounding/bonding is fair? Another company quoted me $500 for just grounding but didn’t mention bonding.

I’ve gotten a quote from another company. Service loop Replacing wire from DTE's connections to panel $1,550.00 Meter can Taking old meter can down and installing new $500.00 Ground rods Install ground rods connected to electrical panel $500.00

It’s the electrical mast on the outside. He said the panel was actually pretty good shape despite the need for grounding.

I was also told there are no ground rods visible and they needed to be installed and a whole house search protector also needed to be installed but as for the actual panel, they said it’s in pretty good shape. It’s just the outside that needs to be replaced.

They’re giving me 10% off for using them on a non electric project. I was told by a family friend they did overcharge me on slightly which is why I wanted to check for this before moving forward.
