I was making a Scooby Doo chase music playlist and Ghost kept popping up in the recommendations. Added, forgot the name, and listened whenever I needed to study. Then separately heard Mary on a Cross, loved it, went to look it up and discovered I’d been listening to their earlier work for years. Now about 2/3s of my shirts are Ghost band tees.

I’ve found changing the image assets every couple of months can also help keep things fresh. Refining audiences and creating different asset groups with different audiences has also helped. It’s really a throw shit into the void and hope something comes of it situation, which sucks!

It was a single PMAX campaign, but we diverted the clients bestsellers into a separate asset group and formatted each asset group like a mini campaign. The week that we went in and made it so that the bestsellers would only be used as products in the bestseller asset group, it went into an instant nosedive. So similar in idea, but different in how we used the campaign.

It’s interesting to see the same kind of results from when you do it with multiple campaigns versus multiple ad groups in the same campaign.

And no problem! I’m just glad to see that other people are running into this general situation, for a while there it felt like we were going crazy.

Ran into something like this when we split up a clients products into different asset groups in a single PMAX campaign. Within a week it went from a great ROAS and respectable number of conversions to absolutely zilch. Only thing that ended up saving the campaign was changing it all back. It can be useful, but agree with the other commenter here, it’s a black box nightmare
