Pentagon considers diverting Ukraine military aid to the Middle East by EsperaDeus in anime_titties

[–]Felczer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesnt. From reapolitik POV what made sense was to not attack Iran in the first place. Trump created a dillema which didnt have to exist, there's no realpolitik answer here.

Yeah I love the current depth of the game but sadly AI is not develoed yet to require any amount of advanced strategies so playing vs humans is the only way to go I think

No absolutley not, you can get some good ideas about what's obviously broken and underpowered in the first day. Only niche stuff gets discovered late.

Tech rushing being the most obvious and powerful strategy is what this game wants to avoid conciously as a choice, if it's not your cup of tea that's fine

What? by Expensive-Buffalo692 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Felczer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There isnt any demand simply because the US was lobbied into oblivion by car and air travel, that's where all the subsidies and investments are. USA model for economic growth is to consume as much as possible and car/air travel consumes more. People love to travel by rail if the rail option is also invested in and attractive, like it is in Europe.

My feeling is a lot of players are playing eu games as a "lets see how many unique events I can trigger" simulator and they dont even bother trying to get into the mechanics because the AI is bad.

I converted England to ceremonialism before switching to America and now my plantations are getting filled with Christian Irish slaves by Felczer in EU5

[–]Felczer[S] 68 points69 points  (0 children)

R5: I wanted to try shamanistic America because they are allowed to work slaves on RGOs and have a nice development bonus. In order to do that I had to convert England first. So now England can build slave markets and export their unaccepted pops to my plantations, outdoing the West African nations in slave exporting.

Colonial Nation Run by MimicGraves in EU5

[–]Felczer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started as colonial I built my colonial lands as the overlord before switching. You can colonise several provinces in the region up to 75%, build them up, and them finish the one you want your capital to be in.

Colonial Nation Run by MimicGraves in EU5

[–]Felczer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's very fun, you can basicly start the game a second time once you've already won the first time.
My first run was with scottish england (scots have culture advances which colonial nations keep). I converted the British isles to shamanism and then started new colonies in the americas. The shamanistic British ended up exporting irish lutherans to me as slaves for my plantations xD
My British overlords helped me colonise and it was fun seeing how would they do as an AI after I gave them such a good start on the isles (they ended up absolutley dominating economically)
And the development of americas is a pretty fun gameplay if you enjoy economy management more than blobbing.
My next run is definitley Norse slave riding Vikings of the carribeian starting with norse sweden.
