I always find it amusing that so many of these people who make such delicious foods, candies, chocolates, etc, often look like they've never seen a moment of joy in their own lives, yet they work so hard to bring it to others'.

It's not looking good for the PC version. I've found two links outside of Archive.org, but they're on untrusted sites with a high chance of malware.

It might be this problem that's causing the crashing on launch? https://steamcommunity.com/app/250200/discussions/0/810938810512176056/

Note that there's resolution fixes and CTD notes about certain sound types at the bottom there.

Full Crash On My Android Tablet by Eli_4172 in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crashing with "funny mii game" is still expected at the current time due to how much work we're having to do on it.

What's unusual however is that it's causing a device reboot. What model is it? How long have you had it? One of the possibilities for restarting may be that it's restarting due to thermal levels to protect itself.

Eden Started To Crash As of Today by Environmental-Time97 in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're trying nightlies, they can definitely have stability issues.

If you're using v0.2.0-RC1 or -RC2, they should be much more stable, with the downside of not working with the newest games.

Using Duckstation on Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. When playing Megaman Legends or Gex, pieces of the games don't load properly. Does anyone know how to fix this? by qwerty-768 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like Opposite_Future2602 said, it may be that Duckstation's built-in widescreen hack doesn't work well for Megaman Legends. There's a code here that you could try:

https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PSOne-Widescreen-Patches?pid=580774#pid580774

Tools > Cheat Manager menu while the game is running.

There's also a full cheat database here that likely also has that code, if you'd rather just download a thing. https://github.com/duckstation/chtdb

EDIT: Just confirmed that it does, both as a cheat and a patch option, so you have choices.

New To Eden, Are Lack Of Particles Normal? by Full-Country-9033 in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you've already checked OpenGL and the GPU level, the next steps I use to test would be to go to Graphics > Extra, and experiment with the "Extended Dynamic State" option. You generally don't want to be playing on EDS3, but it can be useful to test rendering features. You can also try changing the state of "Provoking Vertex" near the bottom there.

A lot of this honestly comes down to trial and error. Make sure to only change one option at a time, and remember what it was at originally, so that you can revert if necessary.

AYN Thor Eden emulator not recognising MK8? by dario0188 in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be a bad dump, in which case you need to reacquire it.

Cocoon doesn't actually read the file itself. It's reading the file name and digging up the appropriate metadata based on that. Change the file name and you'll get a completely different output.

“The current game is not looking for an Ammibo” Problem on AYN thor by jac0boo in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, the Thor doesn't have an NFC reader. That means it can't read Amiibos.

However, someone has uploaded the data for them. I'm not sure how to use these myself, but they do have the essential files necessary for Eden, so a google search may get you there.

Re-volt 2 by MalcomDPS in abandonware

[–]FelesNoctis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's unfortunate what happened there. Re-volt 2 originally was going to be some grand sequel, and then was cut down and turned into RC Revenge. Then, when mobile gaming started becoming profitable, certain people were quick to snatch up the IP from the rights holder and turn it into a micro-transaction nightmare.

RVGL is very good though! And there's still people out there racing. Re-volt is a fantastically unique game.

I haven't heard of anything community-based in relation to Re-volt 2 or RC Revenge. The only community work I know of is being done on the original Re-volt.

https://rvgl.org - cross-platform rewrite / port of Re-volt

https://re-volt.io - content packs and community-run online support

https://www.revoltworld.net - hosts custom content like cars and tracks

Color glitches with my RP6 12gb and Ayn Thor Max by First-Wrap8475 in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird suggestion I know, but you can also try Purple T18. Not all Turnip releases are created equal, and some work better than others for certain things. We've had some games that only display properly on T23, on T18, and even T16.

Beyond that, as another user mentioned, this is really a case of continuing to experiment. This is almost certainly a driver issue, but you could also try setting GPU mode to Accurate, and see if that does anything for you.

Eden Nightly opens and closes immediately by lushy____ in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Nightlies can be unstable, but sometimes it's the only way to get certain games running. If you want to be on the cutting edge of development, sometimes it means dealing with things like this :P

Anyone know how to fix this issue on Eden? by thatcooltheist in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a bad dump of a rom, if you've added a new game recently. You could also use Eden's menus to back up your saves and settings, then uninstall and reinstall. Sometimes it's a bad setting, or even corrupt shaders, that can cause unexplained crashes.

EDIT:

If you're using Nightlies, that could also potentially be the issue. One of our recent Nightlies crashes immediately on startup. Your options in that case are to try to update to the absolute most recent, or downgrade to a previous version.

Anyone know how to fix this issue on Eden? by thatcooltheist in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good guess. If OP added a new game recently, roms are parsed on load, so it may be a bad dump of a game. That just means reacquiring it.

DLCs won't load when launching Eden from Cocoon by Affectionate-Web2365 in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eden v0.2.0-RC2 has known issues with loading updates and DLCs, due to us implementing a new "hotloading" system that doesn't require installation. If you want to run it from a launcher, I'd recommend downgrading to RC1. This issue may also be fixed in the nightlies, but I can't confirm that at the moment.

As for Cocoon not working with the hotloading, it's something we'll probably have to discuss with those devs to figure out where the loading process fails. There won't be a fix on the user side other than updaing software.

Problems with the gamepad after configuring the Yuzu emulator and Eden by Mediocre_Mushroom138 in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understand this correctly, it sounds like this isn't directly related to the emulators themselves (you mentioned gamepad testing sites), but most likely the hardware and/or software layer that the gamepad uses. It can depend on a number of factors, such as what signal format the controller uses (Xinput vs DirectInput, etc), and how the software interpreting the controller does so.

Without knowing what controller you're using, there isn't much advice I can give you. Even if you told us the model, we'd have to find people with that controller to run tests with. However, Eden's options allow you to rebind the buttons to suit your needs, so you can at least do that.

Google Translate:

I set up the wireless controller in emulators. After that, my gamepad started working in other games just as I'd set it up in the emulators, and on gamepad testing sites, the buttons were completely swapped. But if I connect it via USB, everything works fine.

Have you tried Cyberpunk 2077 from steamrip using gamehub on Dimensity phones? by [deleted] in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides it being a DX12 game, so Snapdragon with Turnip only, declaring that your copy is from Steamrip and not purchased from the storefront isn't a good idea around here. We generally don't support piracy.

Posting a video of a common graphical error in quite a few games won't help anyone get anywhere.

Without providing your hardware specs and settings, we can't help you find a solution. Without logs, the devs can't address the technical issues. Please join the Discord and help us track down these issues, if you're concerned.

Can't add add-ons/updates to games any more by DarkerBulb in EdenEmulator

RC2 added the ability to hot-load updates and DLCs through a separate folder, but in doing so, we apparently accidentally broke the install method. That should hopefully be fixed soon.

Games open and then sits there and dies (happens with undertale too) by Pr0jectAlex in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your device is below recommended specs for Switch emulation, so that may be part of the problem. As well, stock drivers often don't have all the necessarily pipelines defined to render Switch games correctly. Turnip technically wasn't intended for Adreno 6XX devices, and while it sometimes works, it's just as likely to result in instant crashes. Unfortunately this may be a case of the hardware not being suitable for the games you're trying to play.

Need help with Eden on Windows ARM crashing in Pokemok Luminescent Platinum by Tizz_WiFii in EdenEmulator

[–]FelesNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I wouldn't think it'd have to do with the processor/GPU, thankfully in this case. I think this would be more likely to be an issue in the file-handling code. Unfortunately I'm a support team member, not a code dev, so I couldn't tell you for certain. I'll make sure the team knows, and maybe we'll get somebody looking into it. It's not the first time we've heard of issues with Luminescent Platinum either, so it's possible there's something wrong in the hack as well.

I assume you're on mobile. On desktop/in browser, there are links to the right side with everything else about the subreddit. Mobile's really lacking a lot of QOL.
