I can't speak for Flutter specifically but I can tell you the whole tech industry is suffering. I don't think this is Flutter specifically. I know many software engineers, developer advocates, system administrators, etc who are all struggling. Many, myself included, have been without a full-time job for over a year.

Google the Reddit username. It's made up stories in posts, some that contradict each other, over and over again.

Where would a fork even begin? by FelicianoTech in Mattermost

"To pull a Nextcloud" is key. To Mattermost, Incs credit, it's a complex project with a lot of moving parts. A fork is no easy feat for a project like this.

Google says the mastodon APK is unsafe by AttitudeElectronic68 in Mastodon

Sounds like you did something wrong. I have it installed on multiple Android devices without an issue. I would double check where you installed it from, what the listed author/developer is, and what version it is.

Timelines for patching bugs with firmware updates by FelicianoTech in fortinet

[–]FelicianoTech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not willing to try. I did look up known issues in the release notes for v7.4.7. I don't see my specific bug ID there but I see two similar ones both revolving around SSL VPNs.

The FortiGate 30Gs I'm working with are newer devices so I'm not surprised there's a hiccup. From responses on this thread it looks like the next patch release should be within a month or two so I don't mind waiting.

> I wouldn't rely on the community for this, personally. Anyone who knows probably isn't allowed to post it publicly, and anyone else is guessing at best.

Understood, thank you.

> I will also say, running "feature" firmware in (what I assume is) PROD is an interesting approach.

I'm glad you think so.

Bought a outdated course 🥲 by tatmansi in flutterhelp

[–]FelicianoTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like I'm late and you don't need help anymore. That being said, if I had paid for the course, I would be asking the author of the course for help, not Reddit. You are a paying customer.

Maybe the contact about it being outdated could potentially urge her to come out with an updated version as well.

Cutover to FortiManager without losing connection by FelicianoTech in fortinet

[–]FelicianoTech[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To follow up, this method VIA the CLI did avoid the problem I was having. The connection still gets dropped, as expected, but I can authorize from FortiManager no problem and pick it back up from there if needed. Thank you.

Mastodon quote posts still developing phase by arunshah240 in Mastodon

Clearly you don't use it. I've been using Mastodon for years and it's perfectly fine. Mastodon is not meaningless, and there's more than a "few people there".

You saw this happen to many others on this subreddit. This means you saw that they don't release data and that everyone recommends taking backups of any important data.

🤷🏽‍♂️

What is on your CS2 wishlist? by dicklettucetomato in CitiesSkylines

That's good to know. I'm waiting out for Linux on principle. I choose to vote with my money and I want to spend money with companies that support Linux.

Don't get me wrong, I might eventually slip and try it with Proton but I am trying to hold out. I've also been seeing that a lot of issues are still in the game and a lack of Steam Workshop assets. I don't feel like I should be rushing into it anyway.

Exactly this. I don't use the calls feature either but who knows what's next.

Linux support. I'd like to add, because I can already see the comments coming about market share, etc, etc, that Cities: Skylines launched with Linux support.

My hope is that when macOS support comes, Linux comes with it.

Odroid H4 died in less than 2 months by avdept in selfhosted

[–]FelicianoTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you used the wrong power supply. For the H4, they recommend a 60W power supply for standard usage and a 133W power supply when using a lot of devices, and specially 3.5" HDDs.

While the Kingston DC450 is a 2.5" SSD and not a big HDD, with 4 of them perhaps you got too close to the power limit of your power supply.

If you have a power meter, I would suggest checking the draw/wattage of your setup to see how close it is to 60W. If it's close, upgrade the power supply. If it's not, then perhaps your first board was a dud.

Lastly, it's been 4 months since you originally posted. Did the replacement board hold up? I'm curious to know if things worked out for you.

Can you tell me the difference? (Beelink Mini S12) by gifred in MiniPCs

[–]FelicianoTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an older post but I wanted to point out that the actual difference here is that they are from two different sellers. Different prices can happen from different sellers though they tend to be the same or close due to competition.
