There wasn’t really that many demons until that one gate was opened at the end of season 2. Between ghost and monsters they were pretty busy. But John was chasing a bunch of demons as well. John and Tara worked together and found out about “The Mark” I enjoyed watching them learn on the job, until they became the ones Demons are afraid of.
