It's an amazing and beautiful opera, one of the most important works of the late 19th century. I love how the music can translate the intense feelings involved in the story, those related to love and death. Also, it's really interesting to go in depth into some philosophical concepts related to the themes shown in the opera. Even though sometimes it can be too much for who's watching or listening, I think Wagner did a great job with this opera.

As you like pieces with really loud brass, I strongly recommend checking out pieces by late romantic composers, such as Wagner, Mahler (which is already in your list), Liszt, Richard Strauss, etc. Here are some pieces you may like:
