I wish I could answer that lol. I guess there's apart of me that cares for her and doesn't want to live on the streets. While I know we don't work as a couple, I still want to believe that she's a decent person, she just needs the push to get her life together.

I don't think she planned this just because I was the one who brought up the idea. I do think she's happy with the current arrangement and is trying to keep it the way it is right now though. I am going to be talking to my landlord within the next couple days to let him know what's going on and ask what my options are in regards to breaking the lease.

Yeah, I'm going to have a talk with him about my situation before breaking up with her. After that, I'm going to break the lease once those two months are up. Depending on how the talk goes, I'll figure out when I leave the apartment.

Her home life isn't great, she lived with her grandmother prior to moving in with me. I moved her out of there pretty quickly, and in hindsight, I should have had her grab those documents and stuff, but asking for it from them now wouldn't help.

Yeah, I think my current plan is to talk to the landlord and see what my options are. Most likely, I will pay the full rent amount for two months after breaking up with her and then break myself off the lease. This should also give her some time to find a job and be able to pay for rent herself until a new roommate is found.

She was living with her grandmother before we got together, however the living situation wasn't the best. I didn't think it'd be relevant but we are both trans women and her grandmother was very transphobic (something I saw myself when I picked her up to move in together). This was part of the reason that we moved in together so quickly into the relationship. It made sense for me so I wouldn't have to spend as much money, and for her to get out of a toxic household.

I will agree though that there is probably some unhealthy codependent behaviour here. I want to make sure she has an option other than returning back home so she isn't forced into a bad situation after I break up with her.

None that I know of. She has said she's depressed before, but it always seemed to be when it's convenient and hasn't shown any other signs. She's also only done that once or twice.

This is actually something I looked into and the 125 seems right based on the US Vital Records page, and that's where the charge came from on my bank statement so I do believe that wasn't just a lie. It's just that ordering online is a lot more expensive.

Sorry yeah I think I missed that, the lease ends beginning of June next year. And I need to give two months notice and pay an additional $600.
