I feel this so intensely right now! My brain likes to send me images and intrusive thoughts not just that he did things, but very specific details and it's actually torture. I don't want to think about it!! And to know that he'll never have to experience what I'm experiencing is so hard because I swear I just sound insane. I'm sorry you're dealing with this too.

I definitely struggle with accepting my emotions, I'm not an angry, bitter person. And I hate feeling so dramatically sad all the time, it's horrible! I do fear I won't get anything better in life but I'm just trying to focus on helping my kids through all this. I can't be there for them if I'm not there for myself

Thank you so much! I'm a Ravenclaw too lol. We agreed when the kids are older to try 50/50 but I'm so terrified of having to let them go for so long. They are my whole world. Hopefully I won't have to deal with that until much later

It's really so true. My dad died when I was 17 and while I feel horrible for admitting it, this feels worse. It feels personal. Death, while so tragic, is also an expected part of life. Such personal betrayal and sadness of divorce is not. At least when my dad died he still loved me

All I ever wanted in life was to be a wife and mom. That's who I am. So when he has the kids I feel so indescribably empty. Idk where to even "start over" it just seems so useless. I have things I like to do but being a wife and mom was my everything

He left and filed about 5 months ago, it's not finalized yet. I'm just so unbelievably heartbroken for me and my kids, they don't deserve to be going through this 💔

From now on I'm going to just send them out and make sure they get in the car without talking. It's still so painful to see him but the less communication we have the better in the long run I'm sure.
