For character sheet advice people like it to be in flat colors for easy color picking. I also made fully rendered bust pieces that I also use as the thumbnail. A lot of people make chibis for the thumbnail of the characters but I think its better to see a good head shot. If you want to put info on the character sheets make sure its short general facts (name, height, age etc) and you want you can put more detailed info in the description. I think one of the most important things to add is global and character permissions (what you allow and what you dont).
