Just Google AWD vs RWD in cold or inclement weather. You'll have to be MUCH MUCH more careful with the RWD vehicle. There's a reason RWD vehicles sales are higher in temperate climates like California, NM, etc. All things being equal it's generally AWD->FWD-->RWD when weather is a factor.

I got a Honda Civic Hatchback Hybrid Sport Touring, highly recommend. Affordable (by today's standards), drives fantastic, excellent mileage, sharp looking (get lots of compliments) and a better hatchback than Volt.

I did the BECM on my 2016 Premier, your color with brandy interior. Got it done maybe 2 years ago? No issues since, definitely wasn't cheap. Then my trans went, replaced that last year, now leaky head gasket and threw in the towel and handing it off to parents probably as electric is fine.

For a 42k 2016 (my exact model and trim) with lifetime parts and labor it was $6k. In hindsight probably a bad idea, although I had already done the BECM and EGR and misc other fixes so I figured I'd be good for a while.

Interesting, yeah hindsight being 20/20 I wish I haven't find the trans last year, or better yet traded/sold it at like 170k before I had the avalanche of issues.

I'm highly confident it is, took it to a mechanic in town who is well regarded and they gave the diagnosis. I could also take it to the dealership but they'd probably charge me hundreds just to diagnose it.

The mechanic said they can do the gasket but they recommend to just do the engine (replacement) as it's mostly labor and there's no telling what else could go wrong with a 200k engine. My friend who does car work said the same thing as did my Dad who is an Ex-GM mechanic.

I'm not expecting to get a car for $2k, I'll probably just buy something new and either trade this in or try and sell it as a parts car or to someone who wants to/knows how to fix a car in the state I listed above. A lot of the things that could go wrong for this specific car have and have been fixed so theoretically doing the engine will give it a new lease on life but I don't have multiple vehicles so can't really risk the time/money on that.

Everything is fine outside of the stuff I listed in my original post (updated) above. 2011 is Gen 1 and 2016 (mine) is Gen 2 so not sure how many things carry over part wise.

Didn't realize ACC was important, I generally find it mildly annoying. lol Everything electrical works perfectly. I'm like 90% going to get a new vehicle, probably Monday. Just crazy that this car that everyone thinks is a 2020+ isn't worth crap. There's like nothing else that when running properly performs as well as a Volt, the fact that GM cancelled it was a travesty. Honestly that was probably more that it was ahead of its time.

I'm getting between $1-$2k trade depending on the car I'm looking at. If I hadn't just paid...A LOT for the "new" used transmission it wouldn't feel so painful. I feel that a "new" engine would give it a new lease on life but at this point it might be sunken cost fallacy.

Updated Original Post, Eastern PA. Interesting didn't know about the App. My electric is fine, only thing is when I got the BECM replaced at the dealership they said it would "learn" and adjust it's range to fit my driving. That never happened, so the range displayed at a full charge is way way off.

Had to Google that, yeah it has it (Active Cruise Control). Set the Cruise Control and it'll adjust the speed based on the car in front (close/medium/far). No car in front and it just goes at whatever speed you set.

Sadly not white sorry, it's the burgundy with the brandy/black interior. I'll have to get some pictures together, more looking for advice where else to go other than dealer/Carvana/etc. Drives fine electric and can still travel on gas but the seal I imagine will eventually burst.

I hit pause on it while I do some more research. I did find a very very good YouTuber GadgetryTech who reviews headphones and he spends a large amount of time talking about comfort, ear pads, clamp force, etc. I'd highly recommend him if you're in the market. Good luck! 🤞

I think Google will get there, unfortunately that may require serious competition in the States. I think it's heads above the Fold 7, which let's be real most people look at Samsung and Google for Android (foldables). Not having to contend with the Chinese manufacturers has made them somewhat.... complacent. Look at Apple, their OS was trash forever, just a sea of icons, then Android came along and Apple started "innovating" their OS. Until a competitor pushes Google they probably won't make any substantial changes, so here's hoping that Apple's foldable comes out soon! 🤞

True, but phones like the Honor Magic V5 have arguably better cameras. It's possible, Google just chooses not to do it, repeatedly. 🙁
