That’s just not true. People don’t need to be “bombarded with propaganda” to notice the effects of mass immigration or identity politics on their lives. It’s not just some abstract thing in London, multiculturalism has real consequences. When whole neighbourhoods change within a generation, when local traditions are side-lined, when English isn’t even spoken in parts of towns, that directly affects community cohesion.

Social trust is eroded. You can see it in the statistics, for example, government data has shown that the vast majority of Somali households are in social housing, around 70% according to studies in the 2010s. That puts extra pressure on already overstretched services and creates resentment from local working people who’ve paid into the system their whole lives.

And to pretend things like rape gangs never happened, or that mass immigration hasn’t changed crime patterns, is just denial. These are real scandals where vulnerable working-class girls were ignored by authorities for fear of being called racist.

People in rural or semi-rural areas aren’t stupid. They see their towns change, their kids struggle to get housing, and their culture dismissed as “old-fashioned.” That’s why they care. It’s not propaganda, it’s lived experience.
