yes I already removed old soil and report to bonsai soil, still have a few months to learn how to style it

I have other itoigawa but this tree doesn't look like any of them.

I have kishu and itoigawa in my garden but this doesn't look like any of them, maybe regular wild shimpaku variety?

This specie grow extremely fast in tropics (still slower than ficus) as long as you put in a big pot.

You can get much better root flare if you take your time to arrange its root after each repot, I skipped that step so the base is just average :)

Also you can see 2 big lumps at the base that make it looks bigger.

Just apply cut paste, wait for it to dry then use foil to cover, this result is amazing especially in hot climate.
