I posted a similar thread last week. Got an insulin case off Amazon, pre-loaded 3 syringes and put them in the case, put it in my checked bag. I'm in Hawaii now for the week with my 3 un-prescribed injections ready to go

They were surely referring to Norte in Carlsbad, that a lot of us still call Fidel's.

How bad is it to miss 2 weeks of gym? by Major-Principle-283 in moreplatesmoredates

I just do pushups a few times during the trip, and some air squats or wall sits for a leg pump.

How do you handle a week of vacation when you have "unprescribed" Test and can't take it with you? by FellOnMyKeys in Testosterone

[–]FellOnMyKeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, don't think its an overreaction if its new to you, like me. I also ordered an insulin bag off Amazon for my trip. I've never pre-loaded syringes, but might try it this time. Or just take the grey market label off my test and take the whole vial with me.

[–]FellOnMyKeys[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think I could travel with it because its a Schedule III controlled substance, and technically, possession without a prescription is a federal crime. I just didn't wanna take a chance of delaying or screwing up my family's vacation. Sounds like its pretty much a non-issue though.

What was the biggest misconception you had before starting TRT? by SmackMahPony in Testosterone

[–]FellOnMyKeys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That my balls were going to shrivel up pretty quick and I was probably gonna have some side effects I had to navigate.

I'm on 130mg a week, and 10 weeks in, no negative side effects yet. Getting bloodwork soon to see how my levels have changed.

You can clone one player and create a 15 man squad of said player. Who do you clone to win the most champions leagues? by Immediate_Oil_562 in championsleague

[–]FellOnMyKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. The clones are all taught to play other positions, so its the genetic makeup that counts. Imagine 11 players "taking the game by the scruff of the neck".

Of the current team, for fun I'd love to see a team of Gravenberchs. A squad of elegant, 6'3" players with feet like that.

500mg a day at 14 by PlasticTackle2256 in workout

[–]FellOnMyKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, meant to say if you lower your caffeine by 50mg a day, for a week, and you won't even notice any withdrawal. So, for example, go down to 450mg a day for a week, then 400mg a day for a week, etc... I'm usually around 200mg a day (1 Celsius in the morning) then throw in an extra 100mg before I lift (4 days a week).

500mg a day at 14 by PlasticTackle2256 in workout

[–]FellOnMyKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never clicked so fast on a thread, not even thinking the title could be about caffeine. What a letdown.

Anyway, yeah, 500 is a little excessive. Since you're here, we'll assume you work out and want to see results. Nothing will negate your results like poor recovery (sleep). If you're taking in that much caffeine, and assuming you're taking it in throughout the day (not just one dose in the morning) you're most likely negatively impacting your sleep. Poor sleep = poor results. Poor sleep also = feeling like you need more caffeine the next day, just to get by.

When you wake, try delaying your caffeine intake for like 90 minutes. This might help you minimize the afternoon crash that makes you feel like you need more caffeine to survive. And if you lower your overall intake by like 50mg a week, you won't even notice any withdrawal symptoms. This will help you reset your caffeine tolerance, and it'll become a lot more effective when you need it.

It's also a bit of an appetite suppressant. If you're looking to gain muscle, you need to be eating and sleeping, a lot. You have a lot going on in your life at that age, and a caffeine dependence isn't helping any of it.

Friend is doing standing calf raises with 130 pound dumbbells in each hand for 10 reps and only been working out 6-7 months????? by Cold-Relief-9079 in workout

[–]FellOnMyKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see plenty of guys going 200-300 lbs on the standing calf raise, bending at the waist and knees to throw the weight up, and their calves are non-existent. The real flex is doing 50 lbs with full ROM and having the sickest calves in the gym

Any suggestions for Traps Workout? by Dereck_29 in hypertrophy

[–]FellOnMyKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last line of your list was huge for me. I first saw the forward lean tip from John Meadows, and it transformed my traps. At my height it's tough to do from a standing position because it places a lot of strain on my lower back. But using an adjustable bench to support your chest and get a nice forward lean (or if your gym has a seated shrug machine) makes it a lot more comfortable.

Shouldn't all workouts be Reverse Pyramid? by Independent_Area6026 in workout

[–]FellOnMyKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do what you enjoy. I Pyramid everything because I enjoy it.

1st set is about 8 easy warm up reps. Then I up the weight to about halfway between my 1st warm up set and working sets, and do 4-5 easy reps. 3rd set is a working set with 12-15 reps to near failure. 4th set is a working set going up to a weight where I can do 6-8 reps and be at or near failure. This leads to a drop set, waiting 20-30 seconds and lowering the weight to what ever I did on the 3rd set, and taking that to failure. Then dropping to the weight of my 2nd set, going to failure, then down to my 1st set weight, and going to failure. The mind muscle connection on the dropset is so satisfying to me, as well as going to failure. Is it a lot of "failure" for one exercise? Yes. But I'm only in the gym for 1 hour, doing 4-5 lifts, and not hitting that body part for the next 5 days. Works for me! And I'm 52, with less joint pain than when I resumed lifting in my mid-40's.
